We love Penny Madden the artist so pop in whenever we have a chance. The staff are really helpful and I recommend everyone to visit if you're in the area. The idea that this is a collective is so cool - Hawke's Bay people we need to support our retail and nurture our artists - art helps to make the world a beautiful place.

Arts on Parade is a co-operative of local craftspeople, open since 1994. It is situated in an historic house affectionately known as one of Napier’s Six Sisters which were built in the early 1900’s & survived the Napier earthquake in 1931. We have over 35 members. CAN gives artists an opportunity to exhibit their work. The exhibition openings with the artist in attendance gives guests access to the artist to discuss exhibits & answer questions. Refreshments are available creating a social event where there is an eclectic mix of people. My tour of Hawkes Bay stopped at this chocolate factory and shop. You can watch them making delicious treats as you hear their story. The shop has all kinds of treats including high heels made of chocolate. There is another shop with New Zealand treats of all kinds. A nice stop.
