The population was 7,547 at the 2010 census. The community was once primarily a fishing village, but has grown substantially in modern time, along with the rest of the Grand Strand, into a popular tourist and retirement location. A unique shopping experience. MISC, located across from the Pet Galley in the Historic Downtown District on 17 Business, carries over 70+ local artists. Everything in the shop is created by someone from this area. From Original Oil paintings, photography, ceramics, pottery, jewelry and more, we have a wide variety of beautiful art. MISC also offers the full line of Larson Juhl custom framing and design. Hope to see you soon!
The atmosphere in Murrells Inlet is very relaxed with beautiful views and lots of good restaurants and casual eateries. The beach is much less crowded than in Myrtle Beach, so we like it more, but if we wanted to go do other activities it is just a short drive to Myrtle Beach.

This shop was a must see for our family; our son is a bookophile with a strong interest in used books. Searching the stacks, he found several volumes to purchase at very reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the selection, very good. I loved the book lamps, so clever and covering many different authors and genres. They are great gift ideas for the book lovers in your family You can be certain we will return when we are in the area again.

Awesome to see a wide selection of seafood and fish . The staff were more than helpful and willing to make sure I had all I needed. Grouper, Halibut were fresh and so delicious once they were cooked that evening . The store has such a huge selection of spices, soups, bisques , and other great frozen octopus, new zealand green lip mussels ....etc. I have tried many other fish monger establishments in Murrells Inlet ...but Harrleson's is my Go To beyond a doubt !

Have driven past this little place at the entrance to Murrell’s Inlet for years. Decided to cook Christmas dinner this year during our annual Christmas trip to the beach and wanted fresh shrimp. Stopped in and could tell it was popular but the line of people waiting to get in (Covid guidelines being followed by allowing only 5 customers in at a time). Line moved quickly and well worth the wait. I knew it was a good choice while waiting outside as a pickup truck pulled up with a bed filled with fresh seafood on ice and a worker instructed him to pull around to the side and they’d unload it. Can’t get much fresher than that! I discovered homemade She Crab Soup that their sign declared was award winning so I grabbed that and some homemade shrimp dip to go along with the peeled and deveined large shrimp I purchased for dinner. All around me I could hear people coming in to pick up their orders. Apparently they will also steam or otherwise cook your seafood for you. The fresh selection of seafood was amazing and they had every kind of condiment imaginable for a great seafood meal. This place is the real deal, times ten. The She Crab Soup may have been the best I’ve ever tasted. The shrimp dip was delicious (with I had the recipe or access to it all year! It was addictive!). And the fresh shrimp I had purchased for dinner was tender and sweet. This little gem will be added to our permanent list of must-do places to visit every year while in the area. One hundred percent recommend!

If you are visiting the Myrtle Beach area take a trip to Murrells Inlet and visit Lee’s Farmers Market. You’ll step back in time walking on the rustic hard wood creaky floors while weaving between fresh homegrown tomatoes, summer peaches, and all kinds of fruits and vegetables. There are ready made meals, local honey, hoop cheese, fresh meats, and the most unusual variety of hard to find products. There is even a deli serving lunch each day. A interesting place to visit.
