I loved this with an amazing view. I enjoyed the cable car to reach the terrace. Warning: the rope way from the Garden Terrace area to Arima is expensive and crowded on Saturday. Spend extra time at the Terrace and avoid Arima.

We bought the bus ticket online and was told to board at West gate of OCAT but without indicating the level. Went to the Tourist Information centre on 1st floor to check a day before and was told its on the opposite side which is West Exit. Not convinced, we went to OCAT information counter (1st floor) and the general information counter on 2nd floor to ask and they provided different locations. Finally was told the correct boarding location...which was on 2nd floor Gate 5. Please purchase the ticket early as some try their luck to pay the driver on the spot but the bus already full. Only 1 trip up and back. The outlet is big with many branded names and many eateries. Free wifi available. Hop onto the bus at 4 pm for return leg which was the correct move as we were able to put all our purchases in the bus vs carry along when in train. Overall a trip worth going as the bus journey is about 1.5 hrs from OCAT.

During our stay in Kobe we passed through this mall frequently as it is very near the harbor front. It is actually a part of the Kobe Harborland and includes the North Mall, South Mall and Mosaic. Umie is a big mall with many large stores including H&M, Uniqlo, GU, ToysRus, Aeon Style, Seria 100 yen store and many others and includes a cinemas too. In the basement is a huge Aeon supermarket with lots of fresh food and ingredients that we bought to bring home with us. It also has a small food court of which the best was one that served beef in a variety of ways and which was always very popular. At the far end of the mall is an escalator that takes you across a connecting bridge to Mosaic which is another part of the Umie complex of malls/ Mosaic is actually my favourite because it has so many places to eat delicious food, there is a Sega amusement arcade, the Anpanman Museum and Shopping Mall and from Mosaic you can get wonderful views of the port at night including the Kobe Port Tower and the Maritime Museum which are colorfully lit up. You can also see large cruise ships which moor alongside the waterfront and the large Ferris wheel at one end of the mall. As we visited in wintertime there was also an outdoor ice skating rink set up adjacent to the mall near the harbour wall.
