The 10 Best Shopping in Greenwich, England

May 3, 2022 Mikaela Didonna

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

While the Maritime Museum, Observatory and Prime Meridian should be priorites, the Market is also a must with friendly vendors, great souvenirs, gift options, yummy foods and a relaxing stop on your way to tour the Cutty Sark!

Granted “slices of time” isn’t a big display but it definitely worth a visit and it’s FREE so what’s to complain about . The Greenwich Peninsula has the majestic 02 to marvel at and you can take a trip home on the Thames Clipper as we did .

The Greenwich Vintage Market

The Greenwich Vintage Market is just a hop, skip and a jump from the Cutty Sark & The Maritime Museum in the very heart of Greenwich. With an eclectic mix of 40 stalls open 5 days a week (closed Mon & Weds), you are sure to find a treasure...and when you have shopped till you drop, take the weight off your feet and enjoy a very vintage Afternoon Tea at the Tea Hut. The last Friday of every month it is also home to The Greenwich Vintage Moonlight Market with the usual mix of stalls plus a pop-up bar with ALL drinks only £2:50 and live music entertainment.

Very good shopping centre with reasonable prices. One of the shops that we visited was Whittard. We bought many teas and were served by very friendly Fatima. She was very helpful. Recommend this shop for anybody who loves teas!
