Golden palaces, floating markets, majestic porcelain-laid spires…you've never seen a capital city quite like Bangkok. Visit Pratunam or Siam Square for premium shopping, then unwind in the European-style gardens of Dusit. Thon Buri is home to the awesome Wat Arun temple, and over in Phra Nakhon, you’ll find the Wat Pho temple of the Reclining Buddha. Savor mango sticky rice at a food stall before taking in the gilded splendor of the Grand Palace.

Was there as a teacher chaperone for student trips. Enjoyed it. Great place to shop for traditional thai snacks like mango sticky rice, dried longan pieces and other pork floss snacks. If u like the sweetened preserved radish bits, the market has it as well.

Not just flowers but every sort of stall you could hope to find. Food, drink, it's famous coconut ice cream!, clothes, bags, accessories, art exhibitions, beauty, fragrance, spice stalls, bars, stationary, everything! Honestly we had such a lovely day trip here. Don't be afraid to barter, it is expected. The coconut ice cream is vegan and is a must! With over 3500 stalls it is truly worth a visit! Don't miss it!

Food Food and more food on every level plus heaps of great shops. The classic clothing section in the basement level is great and as you go up it gets better. Not much of the big stores, mainly local businesses. You can walk across from the top floor to Central Plaza and the BTS station

This is a very nice mall, very efficiently run and cool air-conditioning. You can find everything that you need under the roof, good crowd and lots of good sales too. There are plenty of good F&B outlets here too. They have a very nice cinema on the top floor of the building (6th floor) and a very complete supermarket (Tops) at the basement of this shopping mall. Highly recommended.

JJ Mall is a large air-conditioned shopping complex which is situated in the heart of Chatuchak district, Bangkok, Thailand. The shopping complex is located next to the weekend market. (JJ Market) The whole area has become one vast building site and all shop zones are interlinked. The mall is a 7-storey-building comprising 4 stories of shopping zones and 3 floors of parking, for more than 2,000 vehicles including open-air parking for buses. JJ Mall is fully equipped with elevators, escalators and air-conditioning for the whole area of 1,200 shops. JJ Mall opened daily from 10:30 - 20:00 weekday, and 10:00 - 20:00 weekend
JJ Mall is adjacent to Chatuchak Market, and is an excellent shopping mall for arts & crafts, housewares, with an entire section devoted to Tiffany lamps, , a store with only coffee machines from simple stove top espresso makers to expensive espresso machines. This mall seems to have anything and everything and is surprising in what it offers. There was even a store with motorcycle in it , selling clothing and accessories. There was a Swensons ice cream parlour lower level that is packed all the time. I loved that there are no North American chain store vendors at this mall, only unique local vendors. The food court on 2nd level, is renown for having great food. I stopped here for an early dinner of black pepper pork steak with fries and coleslaw for 60B or about $2 Cad. Outside the mall, on one end are tented street food vendors which line the sidewalks with very appetizing foods being grilled, baked, fried, cooked. Many tourists visit JJ Mall after walking Chatuchak Market when they are totally spent for energy and want to cool off in the air conditioned mall. My suggestion is to come back to this mall just to browse it for itself and do some shopping. It is a mall with fascinating and unique vendors. In particular, I love the kitchenware stores myself. Transportation here is no problem. Skytrain, MRT, buses all come here.
