Plan to cross many bridges when in Cork. Ireland's third-largest city began life as an island and now spans both banks of the River Lee, with watery channels running beneath some of its main thoroughfares. The best way to experience this hilly southern seaport is on foot, following the signposted walking tour past St. Finn Barre's Cathedral and the riverside quadrangle of University College up the hill to red and white Shandon Church. Along the way, you'll meet plenty of the city's talkative residents.

I cannot recommend the Wine Buff in Cork enough. Always providing the greatest service from selecting wine for a Saturday night in, organising and hosting bespoke team building events with my work colleagues to helping me with dinner parties for friends. Katrin and Michael have fantastic wine knowledge which they are always willing to share/teach. A very special wine shop who go the extra 10 miles.

My family and I had the pleasure of visiting David Chocolatier as we traveled through Cork. The Chocolates all made by David himself are such a treat! Highly recommend stopping by his shop in Cork’s English Market. Whether or not you take the food tour, ask them to stop by the shop if you do, it's next to the Next to the Queen Elizabeth II plaque near the entrance. Something for everyone and David is happy to share wonderful tidbits about the makings of Chocolate!

Wild Design is a lifestyle store, offering a curated selection of affordable luxury ranges for you and your home. All of our ranges are from Irish Companies/crafters who use ethical & sustainable practices in production. An undeniably unique retail experience with an eclectic, rustic & modern feel - A fantasy store that shoppers can get lost in.
In a consumer driven world awash with mass production & disposable fashion it's rare to experience true creativity, originality& spontaneity buried beneath the drive for economic performance & of course, a mountain of plastic. But a saunter into the Paul Street shopping centre takes you past the gem nestled among the rocks that is Wild Design & could you dare not succumb to the lure of the tastefully curated collection of local craft that lies within? We'd like to see you try! It's been said that Art speaks to us in ways that words cannot & if you seek the chance to experience this for yourself then look no further - this home to a display of some of Irelands finest talent breathes life into creativity, it's where the language of visual art comes alive. Just when you think it can't get better you find out that each range pays tribute to ethical produce and consumer practice so park your guilt and treat yourself without adding to capitalism and environmental strain (if you like up-cycled you'll love the tyre hand-bags!) So go on! Go Wild! It's an integral part of the Cork experience - whether taking a tour or simply escaping the mundane on that lunch-break, the twinkle of this little gem is an accolade to the meaning of 'Speciality Gifts'. Wild design certainly delivers on it's promise to turn that shopping experience into something with a difference!

Triskel Arts Centre was founded in 1978, and moved to its current home in Tobin Street in 1986. Triskel celebrates its Fortieth Birthday in 2018 and Christchurch is 300 years old. As Cork's principal Arts Centre our mission has always been to commission, present and promote the contemporary arts in Cork, and to ensure the arts are made available to as wide a public as possible. In 2009 Triskel began a process of re-invention, partly because Christchurch, a beautiful 18th Century building, was to be restored by Cork City Council, linked to the existing building, and given to Triskel to manage. Triskel also began this process because it is important to continue to be relevant for artists, practitioners and the public at large. On 15th April 2011, that became a reality when the new complex was launched. We now act as an art gallery, independent cinema, civil wedding venue and a concert hall. Guided tours of this historic building are also available.
Art house cinema/music venue in an atmospheric old church, Art Gallery on the top floor and a busy little cafe/bar with the ruins of a 1,000 year old church visible in the basement makes this Arts Centre a must visit! The cinema always shows very interesting and eclectic films from around the world and hosts great visual Art exhibitions. A wonderful asset for Cork city.

This shop has the very best cheese you will get in Cork, an absolute must for cheese lovers. My favourite is the st Andres. Their fresh pasta and pizza bases are gorgeous and their chocolate cake is out of this world. This really is a gem of a shop.
