We have been to many wine tastings in Italy. This one was among the very best! Part of the reason is that it is so much more than wine -- the history, the Baron, the spectacular vistas, the vineyards, the production process, the bovine, the olive oils, and associated products, the food spead that accompanied the wine tasting, all spectacular! My wife brought some olive oil based mosturizer back which we purchased at the shop - Crema 24H. If you are into such things, do yourself a favor and get several jars. She is lamenting that it is almost gone and raives but its effectiveness. Not available in the states. Definiely a gem in Calabria.

The Gallery is located in the magnificent Arnone Palace, a sixteenth century building in the historical centre of Cosenza. Within its spaces we can contemplate important works by Calabrian painters, such as Pietro Negroni, Marco Cardisco, Francesco Cozza and Neapolitan artists who influenced the local art, among all, Luca Giordano. The Gallery also houses a section of graphic works of Umberto Boccioni in the period between the 1906 to the 1915; Fascinating are the studies that reveal the genesis of “La risata” (The Laugh), exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Thanks to donations and acquisitions, the museum presents a rich collection of modern art, including sculptures of Umberto Boccioni, Giorgio de Chirico, Emilio Greco, Antonietta Raphaël, Pietro Consagra, Mimmo Rotella and Bizhan Bassiri. Furthermore, it is possible to appreciate the Carime Collection, today owned by UbiBanca, that traces the major artistic currents from the fifteenth to the twentieth century.
A real gem, immersed in the historical part of the city, a step away from the church of St. Francis. His collection features extraordinary and valuable paintings as well as a contemporary art section. Free entrance

Quietly set on the Falcomata' Lungomare (seafront), the statues of Rabarama live the night of Reggio Calabria, silently gazing over the history that intertwine the most beautiful kilometer of Italian coastline.
