Sitting along the shores of Mississippi's Gulf Coast, the city of Biloxi has been a favorite vacation destination for decades, with sandy beaches and calm waters perfect for jet skiing or deep-sea fishing. Having suffered heavy damage during Hurricane Katrina, Biloxi is bouncing back. The casinos and resorts are back in action, offering championship golf and live entertainment. The city has restored many historic sites, including Beauvoir, the home of Confederate president, Jefferson Davis.

The Mississippi gulf coast’s premier gift shop since 1973. Sharkheads carries the largest selection of “Biloxi Beach” merchandise on the coast. We also carry a wide variety of brands including: Hurley, Quiksilver, Sanuk, Oakley, Costa, Salt Life, and Reef. We have; beachwear, souvenirs, hermit crabs, toys, seasonal gifts as well as the largest selection of seashells available on the coast. We also have highly trained airbrush artists all year that can paint anything from a T-shirt to a baseball helmet. Please don’t forget to try our famous homemade fudge and bring some home to the family. Sharkheads began in 1977 as a closed up gas station. We opened under the name T-shirt City and remained that over the years as we expanded by buying the businesses around the store. In 2000 we purchased the adjacent office building and joined the two buildings, creating the largest gift shop on the Mississippi Gulf coast. We felt something was missing, so we then added a 32ft tall giant shark mouth
We not only went once we went twice for more stuff! My boyfriend bought 3 pair of swim shorts and the price was excellent. We got gifts, towels, shells. This place has it all and then some. You want to stop in here and also take pictures outside. Another bonus was they have a place to rinse your feet off down in the garage after you walk the beach. We loved being able to do this before we got in the car.

We invite you to enjoy all that makes our museum unique: the artists, the architecture, the history, and the landscape. The Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art celebrates the innovative, independent, and creative spirit of our namesake, Mississippi master potter George Ohr - "The Mad Potter of Biloxi." In a fitting tribute to Ohr, artist and architect Frank Gehry designed an award winning campus of bold, intriguing, and self sufficient structures. These buildings and the exhibits therein offer visitors separate but not isolated experiences - together creating a single unified vision connected by the expansive brick plaza and the majestic Live Oaks. Just have one day? Come see art exhibits that exemplify the creative spirit of George Ohr and the Southeastern US. Stay a bit longer and enjoy taking ceramics classes in our expansive ceramics studio. Stay for good and become a member to experience all that the museum has to offer - including events that enrich and educate our coastal community.
We were greeted as we got off the bus by some lovely ladies and they walked us to the pottery workshop. After the potter explained what we were to do and HOW to make it so it didn’t explode we were left alone to create a masterpiece. We were provided with 5 or 6 colors and were informed to put it on thick but nothing on the bottom but your name. We listened to the history of George Ohr, who was rather eccentric, but he was a master at what he did. We went into the pods to see different artists and I went up to the treehouse to see the Gulf of Mexico. One month later my husband I went and picked up our very cute pots!
