This complex is run by Clark County and if shooting is your thing its the place to go. From archery ,shotgun and pistol and rifle. They have guns to rent if you just want to try one out. Safety is strictly enforced by range staff, there is a short safety video you must watch before going to the range.

We were in Las Vegas for 5 days and had researched this place, booked up in advance from England and were not disappointed.... We had Alex as our instructor and he was unbelievably good. His knowledge is vast on all guns and he made us feel very comfortable shooting the weapons. security and health and safety are second to none and the experience was amazing. I had the SWAT package, a pistol, sniper rifle, machine gun and pump action shotgun!! all were awesome. We had a huge slice of luck as we met the owner and he allowed us to shoot the Barrett 50 calibre for free, WOW what a gun that is!! Sonic Boom!! we also had a tour of the vault which houses some amazing guns old and new! if I was lucky enough to come back to VEgas I would definitely return here, it was a massive highlight of our week and we literally did everything that Vegas has to offer!!

I went to American Shooters on the recommendation by a friend. I wanted to get some information about lessons and purchasing a hand gun. From the moment I stepped into the store I felt comfortable and welcomed. The entire staff from the range to the retail store were super knowledgeable and eager to share their knowledge. I asked If there was someone who could help me out choosing a gun and doing a basic overview. I was connected with RSO Cooper. He is AWSOME! I was expecting a quick overview, NOPE! He took more than an hour with me going over safety, technique, and going over the gun itself. Once he thoroughly covered the safety and technique portion we went into the range and worked one on one with me actually firing the gun. Seriously the nicest and super knowledgeable. I walked out of the range feeling confident and comfortable. Needless to say I did purchase a hand gun that day and I look forward to working with Cooper again to develop and improve. The guys in the retail shops are wicked awesome as well. Thanks Dave and Ben and RSO Cooper!

Here at Strip Gun Club, we provide an unforgettable shooting experience for people from all over the world in a fun and safe environment. Whether it is your first time or an experienced shooter, we have the perfect firearm for you!
It was my first time ever shooting any type of gun and under the expert guidance of Ryan at the Strip Gun Club it was a smooth, very informative, and super fun experience. It is not an activity I would typically think to engage in as part of my agenda when traveling, but I am so happy I tried something out of my comfort level and enjoyed it. Ryan is an amazing instructor! First off, our package included free transportation to and from the resort when booking on line. Ryan picked us up with the company shuttle and right off the bat, my friend and I felt very comfortable because he has such a nice outgoing personality. During the ride to Strip Gun Club, he eased our minds and made us feel very comfortable and confident that we were going to be in for a great fun experience. I was quite nervous being I never shot before, but Ryan eased my mind and I felt very confident in his ability to teach me how to safely operate a loaded gun. He has a lot of patience and would answer any question I had in a very well informed professional manner. First you do a practice run without bullets and then your instructor (Ryan) loads the gun and guides you every step of the way while standing right there to make sure you are safe . I would definitely do it again and would want Ryan to be the one to make it another great and safe experience. I also want to mention Claudia in my review. My friend was trying to book our reservation on line but was having some difficulty and needed to contact Strip Gun Club by phone to complete our reservation. Claudia was so sweet and pleasant and helped us complete our reservation without issue. She was also there at the facility the next day and checked us in. This could be an intimidating experience for some people and it really helps that all the staff is warm and friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Strip Gun Club for any one looking for a shooting range in Vegas.

I have been a firearms enthusiast for 40 years. I am a retired police officer from central New Jersey. I carry a concealed firearm on a daily basis. I was a firearms instructor for my agency for the last 10 years of my career instructing hand gun, rifle and shot gun. You could say my police training was deficient; OR you could say that Front Sight is just a better training facility than ANY government agency can ever be because politics and money rules the day. Either way, been a member of Front Sight since 2012. Between then and 2018 my fiancee and I had been there 11 times traveling from New Jersey. To say we liked it is a clear understatement. We have trained in handgun and rifle at Front Sight and are hoping to go there for an extended time to do handgun, rifle and shotgun all in one trip. We have brought kids, friends, parents with us and not one person has ever had less than a great experience! We prefer the Friday-Monday course. We arrive the Wednesday before, shop at walmart the day we arrive and then on Thursday hang out, go shooting in the desert etc... Then we leave the Wednesday after the course is done taking the Tuesday after as a chill day. You can go visit Vegas those days if you prefer, but neither of us like the city. If you are passive about your training, this is probably not the place for you. The training days are very long and intense. About 600 rounds for the 4 day defensive hand gun course and the same amount for a skill builder course. Be prepared for changing weather. We had 1 time in late April that day 1 was 96 degrees. On day 4 it snowed/rained/iced on us during the skills test. We have been there when the temp was in the 20's and we have experienced 115 degrees with hot oven 20mph winds. But the surroundings are always gorgeous with up close views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains right in front of you. It is not militaristic and is not intended to be militaristic. But occasionally, you'll find the odd instructor that might be having a bad week. Our overall experience has been that the entire staff is friendly, helpful, courteous, immensely safe and even comical. Thats right there is quite a bit of levity and a number of these guys that could probably be successful stand up comics. They all have a passion on imparting their skills to the students. The people who attend the courses are from all walks of life and from all over the country. Predominately everyone is very courteous and everyone is completely enjoying a mutual past time. If you are a couple, do yourself a favor and do not work together. Work next to each other, but pick a different partner. I've seen more than once that someone gets a bit too critical and one person walks off frustrated and hurt. The first day you go, go EARLY. Be first or nearly first in the waiting line on day 1 which will allow you to take everything in, get checked in, get your range assignments, weapons and holster inspection done and that'll leave you a little time to breath before gathering in the large classroom. We would leave the Saddle West hotel in Pahrump at 5:15AM on day 1. The rest of the days you can show up at the last minute, but day 1 I strongly recommend being in the front of the line. For regular shooters: be patient. Day 1 may seem a little slow, but if you are willing to check your ego at the door and are not a navy seal, you'll learn something...maybe, like me, a lot! My biggest piece of advice is to go with their suggestions for the time you are there. They build upon the teaching each day that goes by. When you get home you can decide what you'd like to change. But while you are there you are learning superior skills while maintaining safety among 40 shooters all at once. Understand that they must help all skill levels and still maintain safety. I cannot say enough about the training and the overall experience, so to read a few of the negative comments made me feel the need to set the record straight with detail. You will notice that the overwhelming (98%-99% I think) majority of the comments are extremely positive. If you had a bad experience, you probably ought to look in the mirror for the reason why. For food: we always on line ordered from the Beach cafe. A little pricey maybe, but you won't go hungry as the box lunch has plenty of food in it; and the simplicity of having your food waiting for you in a box with your name on it in the classroom we just found to be so easy. One less thing to worry about. Last bit of advice: Front Sight provides a wealth of information as to how to prepare for the course, what to bring and what to expect. Read all of this information as it is invaluable. Finally remember this: HARD FOCUS ON THE FRONT SIGHT!.....AND PRESSSSSSSS

Our kids are on a shooting team that practices here but we absolutely love this place as a family outing. And when I say family, grandma & grandpa, kids, parents, cousins, aunts and uncles, etc. etc. Great helpful staff, lessons and instruction is available, rentals, a retail gun shop. Several shotgun clay sports are available at this range, yet we usually shoot trap. The facility is clean and well kept with real bathrooms and a indoor group sitting area, lots of parking and benches to sit on and observe if you just want to watch. I highly recommend you call ahead of time to make sure you can shoot during your visit as this place puts on several events during the year.
