Closed of 01/21/2019 to 03/06/2019. The mission of the Museum of Science and Technology, based on the institutional principles of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, is to generate, preserve and disseminate knowledge through its collections and exhibitions, contributing to the development of science, education and culture. The performance of the Museum as a channel for the diffusion of knowledge takes place through its exhibitions. Elaborated to awaken the curiosity and the taste for the sciences, they value the participation of the visitor who, when engaging in unusual and playful experiences, becomes the protagonist of their own learning. This is an university, is good for studying but no to visit for tourism o making business. I don't recomend it to visit.

Museu Egipcio

O Museu Egípcio Canela, recentemente inaugurado em Canela, na Serra gaúcha, com caráter permanente. A sua imponente fachada com as características colossais dos templos do Antigo Egito, atrai a atenção e surpreende adultos e crianças. Conta com um maravilhoso acervo, o maior de América Latina, de peças egípcias, produzidas pelo artista plástico egípcio Essam Elbattal, entre as quais podemos destacar a Pirâmide com mais de 8m de altura com câmara mortuária no seu interior, ambientada segundo os antigos túmulos egípcios, com as paredes e teto decorados com imagens e hieróglifos, múmias, sarcófagos, esculturas de deuses, faraós, coleção do faraó Tutankhamon e muito mais; tudo distribuído num ambiente temático de mais de 1000m². As visitas são guiadas, os alunos assistem ao espetáculo de Som e Luzes e participam de uma palestra onde podem fazer perguntas e esclarecer dúvidas. Sugerimos a professores e alunos, o passeio na Serra gaúcha e visita ao Museu Egípcio Canela
