We are a rural Tibetan Buddhist centre, which offers courses, retreats, yoga, and a popular beginner's meditation class on Sundays followed by a free community lunch. Enjoy a chance to learn and practice tools for the mind to develop wisdom and happiness in daily life. Most of our teachings and retreats are led by Geshe Jampa Tharchin, who holds the highest Lharmapa Geshe degree.

Blissful place to stop by and get some great views. The service was in full swing and we had s nice time with kids attending the service in a small town. Lovely views from and around the chapel.

Fo Guang Shan Christchurch, is a Buddhist temple conveniently located in Riccarton. Our aim is to promote Humanistic Buddhism to the local community and further afield. Everyone is welcome to come and tour our facility anytime, whether you are Buddhist or not, we are sure you will enjoy your time with us. We hold regular Dhama based talks, and events and have an awesome Vegetarian cafe.
I frequently visit Fo Guang Shan temple, not only for there awesome waterdrop cafe but there is always something interesting going on, i especially like the Dhama talks on the weekend and the little cards with motivational quotes! really should be on your list of places to regularly visit if your in Christchurch.

A peaceful spot and tragic to think of what happened here, friendly people and my wife was taken from the ladies area into the main mosque
