Every time we come to Cozumel we stop by this church to attend the 8pm Saturday night mass. We were lucky to be at the St Michaels celebration that took place on Sept 28th. The streets leading up to the church were closed off 2-3 blocks in each direction for the festival, there was a stage with live entertainment right outside the church, locals were selling homemade food and desserts. When it was time for mass, all activities got halted and everyone piled into the church, standing room only for most as the church was bursting at the seams. The mass celebration was beautiful you can feel the faith of all the people in the air. I highly recommend attending this mass as well as this festival.
