Maqbool is really a good, knowledgeable guide. His local & national knowledge is an excellent and he knows everyone so managed to get me'behind the scenes' in a couple of places which was wonderful. I wanted to purchase handmade carpets & textiles and he worked that into the itinerary. We also purchased the antique carpets. If you want & like to purchase nice carpets in a reasonable price then you can touch to Mr. Maqbool Ahmed, he is a dead honest person. If you want to do a food tour of Lahore then ask Maqbool as he knows all the great spots and restaurants. Lahore is incredible city to visit but with a good guide like Maqbool. He is a precious asset of Pakistan in tourism. We highly recommend him!!!!!!

Katas Raj is located about 20 kms from Kalarkahar. So if you are coming from Lahore you can visit this place . From islamabad it is about two hour's drive from motorway. Katas is basically a temple complex consisting seven ancient temples. All these temples are built around a pond which is of the holiest places for Hindus because they believe that it had been created from the tear drops of Shiva, after the death of his wife Satti. One tear fell here in katas and formed Katas Lake, and the other one in Ajmer formed Pushkar Lake. A very scenic and beautiful place with a green and blue water of lake surrounded by lush green hills.. Tour guide is availabe at unfixed cost. There is no cafe for a cup of tea or snack so you better go with your own food there.. Joggers are recommended. *A very scenic place for photography. Good for one day trip from Rawalpindi/ Islamabad

A centuries old house (300/400 years) which is historically a stop over for the muharram 10th religious procession. There is a fairly ancient tree outside which is believed to be haunted, and has some stories linked to it.
