The charming Gothic Berner Münster is the country's tallest cathedral. After the plague came to Bern in 1526, many citizens converted to Reformation and by 1528 masses were stopped and icons cast out and the church became a reformation church.

This late gothic pillar basilica is the largest religious building in the city of Burgdorf. It was build from 1471 - 1490 by Niklaus Birnenvogt who was also master builder at the minster of Berne. The tower is 72 meters high and the rood screen, which was built in 1512 by Heinrich Kummer is know to be the most valuable one in switzerland.
