The resort also has 2 public baths; one for men, and one for women. 3 private baths, all with views of Mt. Fuji, are also available for booking. We also offer shiatsu massage, spa treatment, an amusement arcade, 3 karaoke booths, a coffee shop and a bar.
I went to Konansou appox. December 2018 for my Honeymoon trip. I can confidently say that staying in Konansou was definitely the highlight of my honeymoon trip. I got a japanese tatami room, facing the lovely Kawaguchiko, and ot was so comfortable. The service was excellent too, the service you would expect from Japanese Hospitality. The kaiseki dinner was amazing. They have a rooftop where they have a foot onsen, with a clear view of Mount Fuji. We got lucky that we could see the mountain clearly. The onsen was superb too, the perfect way to end the night. It was a really awesome experience. I would stay again for sure at Konansou.

My husband and I spent one night here to celebrate our 48th Wedding Anniversary. The facilities were lovely in our private room with its own onsen-style bath. We asked for a room with beds instead of “futon” and were very comfortable. The amenities (in the bath area) were generous. The evening meal was outstanding.

This lodging is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi. This quiet location away from the tumult of the ryokan district makes it seem like a secluded retreat, and is quite favored among guests. This lodging boasts of a variety of baths - including the ‘Fuji no Yu’ and ‘Umi no Yu’ scenic view open-air baths on the top floor - and an abundance of seasonal cuisine. From the ‘Fuji no Yu’ scenic view open-air bath, guests can gaze out on the gallant figure of Mt. Fuji right before their eyes as its appearance changes hour by hour.
I really enjoyed the hospitality, lots of good little things and great finesse in their service. The baths are fun to try. The meals were the real deal Japanese food. Very professional and courteous. My gentle feedback is that my room was likely located directly below the baths, as such I could hear the water running all the time. Wasn't an issue for me nevertheless.

This place is incredible. Staff were very rh friendly, welcoming and helpful. Stunning setting looking over the lake Kawaguchiko. Calm serene corridors. Beautiful traditional rooms with futon on tatayama mats with large window views. Private onsen good value for money and public onsen also had beautiful views. All very clean. Toiletries really lovely. The Yukata we were loaned to wear were beautiful and so comfy. Finally, the set meals are 100% worth including. Absolutely stunning array of traditional Japanese cuisine over 7+ courses. We were very contented and very relaxed staying here - so much so we stayed another night last minute.

We had 3 nights here and wish we had stayed 1 because everything shuts down by 5pm. We had breakfast booked but I didn't like it so let my husband eat it. Hotel was clean and tidy and staff were nice. Shuttle bus service is great and very reliable. Right on the bus line too which is good. There were alot of loud students in the hotel and we complained and luckily it stopped. Theres some lovely shops and of course the cable car up to see the view of Mt fuji.

There are several things that people need to be aware of before booking this place, they are not good or bad necessarily, just facts that might not be very clear beforehand: the shower room is public, 4 people can shower at the same time, without any walls or curtains or whatever, just like in a school gym; it's an old Japanese house, this means that the walls are very thin, the stairs screech, you can hear people laughing from the opposite end of the house; the distribution of space is different, because it's an old Japanese house everything might seem a tad small; there are no beds, you sleep on a bunch of mats on the floor, the owner speaks 5 words in English but somehow communication is possible, you only get a small towel, really really small towel. Now for the issues: it is disgustingly filthy, especially the bathrooms, I have seen the owner clean the toilet bowls but that's about all that is being cleaned daily, everything else seems to have had their latest encounter with a cleaning product in the 70's. There are stains on the walls, on the sink ( that actually stank as I bent down to wash my face), the same strands of hair that were in the shower the day we checked in were there when we checked out 2 days later (probably there since the 70s too), there was sludge on the bathroom floor, you can feel it between your toes, our door was kind of broken, it didn't close well. The good : the price is very good though, compared to the average price of the area, they offer free transfer to the station in the morning, the rooms on the front side of the house do overlook Mt. Fuji which is nice.

This is a lovely classic Ryokan with a fantastically helpful Japanese lady welcoming and helping her guests; although she doesn't speak a word of English, but Google translate works wonders. There is a pick up/drop off service from and to the busstation, but the lady also drove our sons in very early to start their climb to the top of Fuji-san. Fabulous breakfast upon request, seated amidst other guests in their provided yakatas. Comfortable, clean rooms and bed linen. If you are used to standard hotels, I wouldn't go here. If you fall for some rusty charm, this is your place. Also excellebt location and view
