As I am now a family guy, my priority is my family(wife and 4 years old boy). This hotel has satisfired the whole family. All kind of pools were available and Tennis, voley ball, and soccer fields available as well. Gym and so on... fitness guys could be very happy here. The Manager, if I am not wrong, named as Daniel is very good guy and made us few very confortable during our stay. The room has plenty of space and could accomodate all 3 of us. The new years evening was amazing... kind of fancy place with live music and good food and drink. I would definitely go back there! I would also recommend people to visit the city of Poços de Caldas! I reallly love it.

The hotel has positive points and also negative ones. I will try to describe my experience below: Rooms and installations: Based on the pictures I have seen in the internet and also considering the price, my expectation was set as high, but... as soon as I made the hotel and visit the room that they would reserve to us, I confess I was a bit disappointed. Firstly, I did reserve an apartment and they gave me the keys of chalet. We visit the chalet and asked by the reserved apartment, it was not ready but, the release it fastly. The construction are very old and what we saw in the internet is only the most expensive rooms, which host 6 people. Restaurant: It is a big room, many tables and one big wood burning stove. The chairs are very dirty, many birds flying into the restaurant (I suppose they are the responsible for the chairs dirty). The r.ood is good! Many options for the lunch as for the dinner... the taste and the temperature of food is good! Internet: The hotel area is big, because of that, we cannot expect to have good signal in the whole area. The restaurant is very close to the reception, there the internet is good. Entertainment area: I could not take advantage of everything due to the cold weather. There are two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and the indoor one, looks dirty. There is a big lake, with some pedal boats and stand up paddle available for free, it is possible to fish as well. The games room has some snooker tables, ping-pong table and two foosball tables. Positive points: the attendance since the arriving was good, with some small point to improve, but it is irrelevant. Negative points: the installation and construction is old and must to be improved. The hotel accepts pets, there are many dogs walking and using beds, hammocks, blankets and etc. I am allergic to animal's hair and it was not good to me during my stayed. In summary, mainly if you not allergic to animal's hair, it possible may be a good choice for you. to see more pictures from this place. visit the IG @tirarPhotos

Tauá Grande Hotel e Termas de Araxá is a traditional hotel at a city in the state of Minas Gerais, Araxá, Brazil. The complex was build by the president of Brazil at 1944, Getúlio Vargas. It is an exuberant building, with an hispanic colonial style architecture. The gardens around the hotel were projected by the famous landscaper Burle Max, who had also worked with Oscar Niemeyer in many other works. The complex also has a lake and a great hiking trail through the grove of the property. Since 1944 this luxurious hotel gave to his visitors an unforgettable experience, so much by his glorious building, as the famous spa, offering guests special baths and massages.
Not sure what I can write that hasn't been written before - this is a piece of history. Expensive? Very much so! But you get some of the best 4 meals you can get anywhere in Brazil - besides the traditional 3, delicious 5 pm tea/coffee time (detail - the teas could be a bit more special - like Twinings - and not the good, but not so special Brazilian brand Leão). And if you stay 2 days, the leisure and spa team offer enough activities that'll help you spend the time between those meals. There are nice opportunities to walk in the region - it's not really the most exuberant nature in Brazil, but it's pleasant. Staying 2 nights, my wife and I didn't have time to try some of the spa treatments - that'll be on our to-do-list for the next visit, and there will be one. We stayed on the 6th floor, facing the front area. There's a pretty view, but apparently there are often outside events and a book fair was just being set up, making it not so "pretty". The 6th floor is a must if you value a balcony - as we do. The rooms are not even that large, but sufficient. Very comfortable, though not particularly luxurious. All very clean and very quiet, as we like it. Of course it helped we went off-season and we were among at most 50 guests - there is room for about 700 when it's full. The relative emptiness was perfect for us when, on the 1st morning there we had the nice, warm pool just to ourselves. And we were among the youngest guests - both my wife and I are close to 60. It makes sense: it's really for those already have a pretty steady and guaranteed income. You absolutely most have a tour of the hotel and of the Presidential suite. Just a few things to improve: in the rooms, the shower could use a reform - the water was unsteadily warm - the A/C is not the silent kind - the days weren't too hot and we slept with our French doors open. In the public bathrooms, the drying paper is really flimsy and doesn't dry well. Finally, in the F&B - we found that some of the waitresses don't really know the drink options and need some better training. One had no idea what a Kir Royal is. Absolutely nothing that will deter us from returning.

Rooms are very nice and new, there's an amazing heated pool with a wet bar, both breakfast and dinner were very good and with many options. We spent 4 days there and we recommend as a place to stay with family and friends, both on summer and winter. It looks more like a hotel than a resort.

It is new hostel , built in quiet and nice place . Ideal for leisure and rest. Located between the main waterfalls and restaurants in Serra do Cipo . Good place to stay near Serra do Cipó. You can easily walk to restaurants and bars downtown, but will need a car or tour guide to visit the National Park. The rooms are clean and simple, the resort has lots of common space - pools, game room, etc. The breakfast is a perfect start to a day of hiking to the waterfalls. It's not a luxury place, but inexpensive, clean, and comfortable for a few days.

Amazing resort in a beautiful, safe and friendly historic town. Although the resort is less than 100 mts from the city center, it’s very spacious, has a small fazenda with cows, horses, goats, etc for the kids. The Kids’ club is excellent, with very professional and friendly staff. Service overall is great. Breafast and lunch (included during the weekend) qere very good. The only downside was that we visited during an expansion of the hotel (should be ready by February 2022) so it was a bit noisy during the only weekday we were there.

At R$450 per day, we would have thought that this hotel would be magnificent 5 star hotel, especially being in a small town. However, that was far from the truth. Overall the hotel is nice. Spacious rooms and a beautiful outdoors, considering it's on a golf course. That's where it ends. The golf is not free as we were led to believe and we actually need to pay to rent the equipment and balls. Now that we are here, they tell us that it's free if we bring our own stuff. Who is going to be lugging their clubs through the airport on a 13 hr flight for a vacation? The breakfast if mediocre with a decent selection of fruits and nothing else reeally available for a healthy vegan couple. The gym is atrocious, with 2 pieces of pathetic equipment. Everything is basically run down, old, and dark. If this cost R$250 per night, this might be more acceptable. But overall they charge 5 star prices for 3 star accommodations.

Reservation and check-in abysmal. Took a week, multiple emails and calls to confirm reservation. 40 minutes to check in as wanted multiple forms of id for each guest including 8 month old baby . Almost left then which probably would have been wise. Rooms tired with papper thin doors and windows which means you hear everything outside. No hot water on the night we were there. Food average.
