Have you heard about Lu Yee Chuns (outstanding students) in the history of Myanmar? The role of those Lu Ye Chuns critically played in the nation building process in our grand history and they were trained at many historical camps throughout the country. Those camps still remain much of unforgettable memories and one can still feel the undying theme of those outstanding students. And, Shwe War Chai Camp at Ngapali beach was one of those memorable camps in the history with long-lasting structure and unique design theme that would give the unique feeling. To provide the guests to feel grandeur theme and outstanding sketch of the history along with the modern society and natural environment, we modified the Shwe War Chai Lu Yee Chun Camp into Jade Marina Hotel facilitating the most exclusive amenities. The combination of modern and history architectures allows the guests to feel between the edges.
Stayed at the most expensive room for 3 nights. Staffs are rude, not helpful and not well trained. Very awful attitude. Terrible service. And the rooms are quite old and dark (not a romantic kinda way). Smell moldy. Would not recommend to anyone. Please choose another hotel. I wouldn’t go there again. The worst experience so far

Nestled on the most beautiful beach in Myanmar, 45 minutes away from bustling city of Yangon by air and 5 minutes drive from Sandoway Airport, Amazing Ngapali Resort is ultimate hedonistic resort that redefines escapism in its beauty, luxury and conception. The view from the lobby takes in the gentle waves and allowing its guests an exhilarating feeling of spaciousness and an affinity with the natural surroundings, lushly landscaped gardens and pool.
Amazing Ngapali Resort was one of the first hotels which opened for vacation during Covid 19. We flew from Yangon. It is understandable that during these difficult times and having just openend there was room for improvment in service and cleanliness. The rooms are spacious, with beautiful furniture and nice bathrooms. The views are amazing and so is the beach. Particularly if you have children. The breakfast buffet was good, the drinks are very tasty and the barkeeper is very nice. The management made great efforts. The snack menu for lunch could be more varied and the dinner menu was not competitive with the seafood restaurants in the area. Also in terms of value for money. Overall we recommend the hotel.

The Amata resort & spa, Myanmar's most exclusive international beach resort, stretches along the beautiful shoreline of Ngapali, Myanmar's premier beach. The resort covers more than five acres of tropical wonderland and guests are luxuriously accommodated in eighty teak, bamboo, cane and rattan cabana, bungalows and suites. The resort is flanked by a 400 meter seaside boardwalk.
A good hotel with good services. The landscaping in the garden view is really nice and obviously show they put much effort in designing. Foods also really nice and the way they set up the couches and benches by the sea is really adorable. But I want some adult pools in deluxe rooms .Now swimming pools are small and shallow.

We had 4 nights at this lovely hotel. We stayed in a beach front bungalow. There was a problem with our booking when we arrived but the young and very professional hotel manager sorted it out straight away and for a reasonable upgrade we were given a beautiful beach front bungalow. The staff are all really friendly and helpful from the beautiful ladies who sweep the leaves to the elegant reception staff. Excellant buffet breakfast included in the price, something to suit everyone. We won't hesitate to book again next year.

Welcome to the place where you can relax at all times. We are located on the unspoiled Bay of Bengal beach front hotel. We have two different kinds of accommodation level of we used for our guests in Ngapali beach. We consider atmosphere and nice view to be just as an important as the choice of hotel. These spacious rooms have private terraces overlooking the panoramic view of the Bay of Bengal.
after 3 years, we decided to come back to Thande as during our first stay it was really nice. We stayed in a lovely front seaview bungalow. The Bungalow was super clean and its staffs carefull to attention and really kind and friendly. The matress is a bit hard but not so bad. Breakfast has everything you need. Overall really nice stay, thank you for making us feel at home. Just a small thing...be aware of big Chinese group arriving on Saturday....quiet unpleasant, but thankfully only a short stay!

What a beautiful property. Our room was the most ordinary one they have I think, and it was just amazing, on the lagoon. Very quiet stretch of beach. Lovely pool. Gym was pretty decent. Really nice rooftop bar. Excellent service!

Beautifully secluded, yet only a five-minute drive from Thandwe Airport, Merciel Retreat & Resort sets around the palm-fringed backdrop to give you the view of endless blue seascape. Blending tranquility together with gentle Myanmar hospitality, at Merciel Retreat & Resort we ensure your make the most of out your stay in Ngapali - one of the world's unspoiled beaches at its best. Note: We have seasonal closure from May to September, and will resume business as usual on 1 October.
Just after the porters quickly grabbed our bags, handed us a cool cloth, gave us a refreshing glass of coconut water, I stood up and walked through the lobby to look at the hotel’s beach. When I saw the shining Bay of Bengal, the pristine swimming pool and the palm trees at the waters’s edge, I swear — after a few moments — I felt like I’d lost 10 lbs. of stress, worries and travel weariness. The Merciel Resort is a couple of miles past the bigger towns and more crowded tourist areas but for us, that was perfect. We needed quiet. I definitely recommend upgrading to a beachfront bungalow. The room was awesome. It had a porch where each evening we sat, waiting for the gorgeous sunsets. First thing, every morning, we opened the curtains to a beautiful beach view. The food was great. We ate all our meals there. When we wanted to check out more of the island, the staff would call us a tuk-tuk, and we could go anywhere we wanted. One driver even added a short trip to a local fishing village, so we could see how the residents lived and worked. The staff did nothing but smile and give us great service. (Footnote: this is NOT a place for late night partiers. And, while we were there a bit of construction was going on to fix some of the bungalows that were damaged by storm surf.) This Ngapali Beach resort revived us...like a real vacation should. ??

Don”t doubt - just do not go here. The problem is not with the staff or location. The staff is super friendly and helpful to solve and serve - they care about their customer. The location is maybe the best in whole of Ngapali with the combination view of sea and river on a large plot of land - beautiful. The big issue is the owner who is based in Yangon and does not have a clue on hospitality and worst of all no support to her staff (being on the ground, resources, cash, ideas). After we made a number of complaints (F.e. Broken sunbed, no wifi) it was obvious the owner did not care at all - not a single pro-active text message or call if things have been solved. The staff solved a number of things but overall impression and service level (from website pictures etc) was not matched for us. There is no proper food/ restaurant, and the first night we order (as we didn’t know), they ordered the food somewhere else. Even staff recommends us to eat outside and bring us for free to village. Wifi did not work throughout our stay. Sunbed was repaired but should be dressed up from the start. They have a nice bar, but almost empty and not inviting to have a nice cocktail on the restaurant deck (asking for ice was too much). Finally we got a small discount after long text discussion with the owner (she did not call back to discuss openly- even if I tried several times to call her and asked her to call me) So, coconut island resort could be a star of the great place Ngapali - but unfortunately the owner doesn”t make it happen. We believe Coconut can not be classified as “resort”.
