With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

Momma said if I could not say anything good I should say nothing at all, So i will say I was totally Not satisfied with the condition of my room nor the Hot tub area outside of our room. We are timeshare members who pay maintenance fees for the upkeep of our properties yet I saw no evidence of said upkeep. I know how bad this administration has driven our economy but this resort did not get this bad in just a short span of time. Someone is not doing their job!

I made arrangements wtih the concierge to have flowers and a bottle of wine in the room when we arrived to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The flowers were beautiful, and the wine and glasses were surprisingly accompanied by a superb charcuterie board. Very unexpected and appreciated. It was evident that the entire staff was aware of our special stay and went above and beyond to make it memorable. I don't expect this level of service on our next visit (which there definitely will be), but I wouldn't be surprised as everyone clearly took pride in the property and their role in delivering a high level of service. With regard to the property itself, it covers almost a whole block with separate casitas, walking paths through the grounds, a beautiful patio for dining, fireplaces seemingly everywhere and an historic main building where the restaurant and bar are located. They host a complimentary tequila tasting on Mondays with a very knowledgeable bartender which we were able to enjoy. I've travled extensively in my business life and now in retirement, and I highly recommend La Posada for a relaxing, top notch venue for either a business function or just a getaway. Kudos!!

Historic resort that combines luxury with rustic charm, and contains an excellent restaurant.
What can I say? We love Cloudcroft!! And we love this hotel! It is stunning in winter and beautiful in the spring. Last time we stayed here we were snowed in. It was great. Room on the first floor, drinks at Rebecca's, and a huge fire in the fireplace. This time.....this time we were given a room on the creepy third floor (which I loved). What I didn't love were the stairs. Don't get me wrong, I can climb stairs. However the altitude was getting to me and I felt 100lbs heavier with the lungs of a corpse. I'm so thankful no one was there to see me heave ho my 20 bags up the stairs like some decrepit old woman. For you first timers, there is NO elevator. So if you have a bag just for shoes beware. The husband faired a little better than me. After about the fourth trip up that day I almost just layed out on the second floor. Ghosts and guests be damned. But I persevered. We plan on going back soon. Like I said, we love this place! We also love staying on the first floor. Us and our 20 bags.

Set against the vast magnificence of Santa Fe National Forest, just minutes from the city’s historic plaza, Bishop’s Lodge offers guests the best of all worlds: A pristine natural setting on 317 acres of private land in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range located only four miles from the rich cultural attractions of a UNESCO world heritage city. Dating back to the 1860s when Santa Fe’s first archbishop built a chapel and lodge on the property, the resort pays homage to its storied past while celebrating Santa Fe’s vibrant art, cultural and culinary scenes and the spirit of adventure that epitomizes the Southwest.
I recently chose to stay at Bishop's Lodge mainly because they advertise having hiking trails on the property, some high end spa services and offer help scheduling adventure activities. My experience was way below par considering the price. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, spotless and over the top stocked with amenities. Other than that, my experience was disappointing for the following reasons: *The "hiking trails" are VERY poorly marked. It is only about a mile total so not really "hiking trails". Staff help was minimal but I eventually figured it out. You could definitely get lost as there are many offshoots that are not marked and not on their map. *I tried to book a birdwatching tour which was advertised as an option. I asked about it several days prior to arrival and was confirmed. Upon arrival, they could not provide a description of where I would go (on or off property, how many hours to set aside, types of birds I might expect to see) and could not even tell me the cost of what I had signed up for. They knew nothing about the guide and whether she had any experience in birdwatching. I canceled. *I requested some of the more unusual spa services in advance (tarot card reading, energy clearing", was told they were "working to confirm" and never heard back. *I wanted to do a half day flyfishing trip. They have an Orvis guide shop on site. I never heard back from the adventure team at Bishop about scheduling this. By the time I arrived, there was no availability during my stay. The Orvis guys were so helpful and they were very frustrated to hear that the adventure team had not been able to accommodate as they were not overly busy that weekend. *The hotel advertises free shuttle service into Oldtown Santa Fe. What they don't tell you until you arrive is that they only offer it until 6pm, so if you want to go into town for dinner and have a few drinks, you are on your own. *The hotel is very under served in terms of on-site food. There is a small coffee shop with very limited hours for breakfast. It is closed by lunchtime so you'd have to buy a premade sandwich in the morning if you want food for lunch. The restaurant was beautiful for dinner but they are not staffed to provide the level of service it would dictate. *The property is built on very steep hills. Might be more than most can handle just to walk to the pool or restaurant and back. They offer golf cart service but it is limited. I was passed up more than once by staff in carts and never offered a ride. In Santa Fe, the options are either stay at a property that has some views and access to hiking or stay in Old Town where you can walk to dinner and shopping. In hindsight, I would have stayed in town. Many great boutique properties to choose from and a great vibe there.

Beautiful accommodations, but you can hear guests in the room above walking around. Most rooms are 2 story casitas. BE SURE to request the second floor only!! Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, but the noise is unacceptable at that price point.

We had a wedding here and the entire family came into stay. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and casinos were kind to our wallet. Rooms are very reasonably priced and well worth it. I look forward to our next trip! Hotel restaurant and bar had great food and great staff

Located in the historic downtown of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and near Spaceport America, Riverbend is an affordable, smoke free, hot springs spa and resort, where guests can relax in a beautiful, laid back environment. It is one of the best hot springs in the southwest for its clean, comfortable riverside pools and its unmatched views of the Rio Grande River and Turtleback Mountain. We are dog friendly.
My daughter and I were looking for a quick getaway without involving airports or driving too far. Our experience at Riverbend was soooo perfect…just what we had in mind. The pools on the river are beautiful, early morning & late night. We will definitely be back!

5/2022 The Ojo Caliente POOLS in Ojo Caliente are terrific and we've traveled there for the last 8 years. There are several pools and all of them have unique benefits. The wet and dry spas are great and the restaurant is good. Unfortunately, this time, we stayed in one of the rustic trailers, unit T3, and encountered bed bugs which are very distinguishable.. We brought this to guest services attention on the last day after both my wife and I had sores, which we photographed and even showed the staff. They claimed to have checked the bed however upon following up in the days after our stay, their multiple responses were inconsistent. We're extremely disappointed that we were not assured this would be taken care and addressed so future guests do not have to endure the same discomfort. It pains me to post this as I love the resort but future guests should make an informed decision, as will we.

What a beautiful oasis in the desert. The day pass is a real deal and you can use all the facilities. The soaking tuns are perfect at a variety of temperatures. The salt water pool was large and perfect for some lap swimming. The grounds are beautiful for an afternoon stroll.

My wife and I stopped while enroute from CO to Las Cruces NM. We wanted to get through Albuquerque on Sunday. This campground seemed to be one of very few on south side of ABQ. We thought we'd try it. Wow. While about 50 years old, major renovation about 10 years ago. Wide, long sites with covered picnic table and grill enabling pull through, 50 amp service, staffed front desk, water and sewer, level gravel sites but also some concrete, many bathrooms spread around the facility. Cable connection. As opposed to most campgrounds that claim their WiFi works, this one actually does work! Located about 1 mile off I-25 and also has casino and many lakes with about 2 miles of trails. We will definitely be back.
