Australia is as varied as it is enormous-- it is home to thriving cities, vast wilderness, and earnest, friendly people. Sydney is for sophisticates, with its famous opera house and annual Sculpture By the Sea outdoor art exhibits. Port Douglas makes a great base for snorkeling or diving the Great Barrier Reef, and quaint lighthouses keep vigil along the beaches of Byron Bay. Melbourne is a hub of rousing cricket activity, and the limestone pillars of the Pinnacles Desert are a natural wonder.

Drawing inspiration from the sea, Rhapsody’s designers have created a dynamic beachside apartment address. A sophisticated architectural statement reminiscent of grand vessels from a bygone era. A building of two distinct architectonic elements encased in a dramatic corten steel street level hull, destined to become the signature of the Surfers North precinct in Surfers Paradise, Australia.
This is a nice and cozy resort for holiday stay, home away from home. There are a number of things that I love about Rhapsody: 1. Daily housekeeping service to keep the apartment nice and shine everyday and we came back with clean towels. 2. The king size bed in master room is so huge and comfortable. 3. Lovely sea view plus water view at the back 4. Parking is provided for which is essential as it is hard to find on Surfers Paradise 5. The front desk is friendly and always helpful 6. Kids’ room is also lovely and the kids enjoyed their own little space. I just love staying at Rhapsody resort each time we go to Gold Coast. It is a second home for us. Thank you!

Upon arrival we had Luke who greeted us out the front of reception with an amazing smile and personality. Luke has given the best service we have received here at the Meriton Broadbeach in the 10th are we have been staying. The young lady Jodie was very very rude and made my husband feel like he was an invalid. We will be back but only because of Lukes Service.

If bungalow type accommodation suites you better than high rise, this is the place for you. The location is great, walking distance to many shops and restaurants and pubs (there's lots of those) The bed was super comfortable (even if the room was a tad small) but it was clean and serviced daily and the staff were friendly.

Our stay at the Q1 was breathtaking from the moment we could see it in the distance as we drove across the Qld/NSW border. Reception service was friendly and efficient. Our booking was 2 x 2 bedroom Ocean Spa apartments, which we were told would be allocated to use the same lift and our cards activated so that we could travel between floors. When we arrived, we had been assigned different lifts but the staff quickly offered to remedy this. We decided it wasn't a big deal as one family would have a higher floor and better view. In hindsight, the same lift would have been better as some of us experienced a bit of vertigo which we think was due to the frequent trips from floor 36 to the lobby and then straight back up to floor 49. The lifts were quick, we didn't have to wait long even at peak times. The indoor pool and Longboards were a great addition to our stay. All common areas were always clean. Our room, 3604 had doors quite close to the lifts. We were pleasantly surprised when there was zero lift noise during the entire stay. The room was huge and the highlight would have had to have been that killer view. 270 degrees with views of Stradbroke Island to the North and down to Coolangatta to the South. The sunsets had us up early, even though there were blockout blinds but we were glad to witness them. Big frosted glass sliding doors to each bedroom meant that the sunlight came in early and it was quite warm. Being able to open up the balcony doors and windows meant it was always comfortable with the breeze flowing through. Everything was clean and the apartment had everything we needed in the kitchen and laundry. A short walk into surfers paradise meant we always had something to do and the convenience store, BWS and takeaway shops downstairs were handy.

Overall an amazing stay! We were on the 25th floor with an amazing view of the city and South Bank. Very accessible to city and trams. The rooms were large and looked after. Bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the shower pressure was horrible!! With no bath it was a shame the shower was so bad (worse than a motel). We turned the hot all the way up and the cold all the way down and was only just getting enough warm water. Apart from the shower pressure (and the kid infested pool at all times of the day) cannot fault this stay at all and will definitely come back to stay again.

As a diamond circle member, I have been to lot of shangri la properties around the world, this the worst and most shocking experience I have ever had, shame on Shangri la. I booked altitude restaurant for a business lunch from 2pm to 3:30, it is confirmed and guaranteed by my credit card. Me and my business partner were on our way to the hotel, the restaurant called me at 1:13pm saying they will cancel my booking, they can’t do 2pm. because their kitchen will close at 1:30. I asked how could this happen, my booking was confirmed 2 days ago and the website offers 2 to 3:30 time slot. They said they have no idea why that time slot is on the website, but kitchen is closed at 1:30 and restaurant must be empty by 2pm for high tea, I can’t come. I was left in shock for this last minute cancellation. My business meeting is ruined and my business partner has been driving 40 mins from other side of Sydney. I tried to explain this situation to them, asking if I can place order by phone before kitchen close, but rejected because they need restaurant empty by 2pm. Unless I want to have high tea instead of lunch. I asked the staff on the phone that The booking policy says there is a no show fee for cancellation less than 48 hours. How is this fair a customer will be charged for cancellation and it is alright for the hotel to cancel a booking at last minute? Why wouldn’t the hotel call me in the morning, or 12pm when restaurant open so I have time for to make adjustment. We left with nowhere to go and requested a dining voucher for the inconvenience caused, the phone staff said she totally understand and will make the request to the manager and put me on hold. Later she responded the manager refuse to make any compensation other than NOT CHARGING CANCELLATION FEE. She said she totally feel for us, she tried to explain to the manager but it is out of her hand. the only thing she could do is to transfer My call to the manager and have me discuss with her. I was transferred to the rudest and most unprofessional female manager of any shangri la hotel I have ever encountered. Her title is reservation manager. She insist that 2-3:30 pm is a website issue, not the fault of a restaurant. I said the 2-3:30 booking option was alway available on this restaurant, why want this fixed. “ because we never had anyone booked at 2, so it is not discovered”. I asked why I am getting cancelled at last minute. Why not call me earlier so I have time to find other place? “ because we didn’t notice your booking until then, and I am sure you can find other nice places in city” I asked what’s compensation for the inconvenience caused. Then is the most shocking response I have ever heard from a hotel manager “I will not charge you cancellation fee.” Excuse me? you cancel on me and not charging me is a compensation? I asked can I get some dining voucher? Me and my partner have been driving for 1 hour at this time point to get to the hotel. She said no. It is system fault, not ours, we didn’t deliberately sabotage your lunch. And since your time is so precious I suggest start to find other restaurants in city that’s still open. Shame on you shangri la to let this happen. To have this kind of manager, the problem is handled in this way is speechless. Even A high school graduate could have done much better.

Worst hotel with horrible service FULL OF LIES!!! 2hr late Check in! This apparently seems to happen a lot. Didn’t get into room till 5pm they kept lying on reasons why the rooms were not ready! There was like 50 people waiting In the lobby on their rooms. There is barely any seating within the lobby many having to spend hours on the floor. Room wasn’t the cleanest when eventually got in it. Shower head thing was loose and couldn’t even take a shower properly. Can hear lots of noise via hallways and door slamming. Wouldn’t recommend these issues happen a lot When I looked at reviews online. And to top it off they went and cancelled my booking at 2am just so I wasn’t able to leave a Review via the website I booked via. Scammers

Have stayed here before, and worth paying a bit extra for an Ocean view, but ask for a high floor. Had a lovely breakfast, but at $32.00 for full breakfast, quite expensive, also, sure it was just a slip up, but no hand towels, only bath towels
