Carless Reef

Reviewed By AhmedAdly - Hurghada, Egypt

I have been diving Carless Reef since 1990. It has always been an amazing dive spot. It is also a very important place for scientific research since it was completely eaten alive in 1995 by the Crown Of Thorns Star Fish. and has now re-grown to amazing abundance as it used to be. Carless reef proves how resilient the red Sea corals are and how fast they can re grow.

Coral Reefs

Reviewed By annamS357IR - Maryland, United States

You can see by my profile that while I don't dive frequently, I have dived all over the world. The Red Sea is a bucket list site for divers- not just me! We dove a handful of sites around Dahab and snorkeled in a lot of places as well and I have to say that the hype is real. Just thinking about it makes me emotional. Vivid, living reef, PACKED with sealife. Even the most casual snorkeling in front of our hotel revealed National Geographic level fish, morays, sea horses, stunning corals of all kinds. Watch out for those lion fish! Staggering, amazing, incredible- DIVES OF A LIFETIME!!!!
