Known for its beer, sausages, Oktoberfest and lederhosen, Bavaria is Germany’s largest federal state and one of its most popular tourist destinations. It's also one of the most independent-minded regions. Home to cities like Munich (the capital) and Nuremberg, Bavaria is also cherished for its hilly countryside, where such gorgeous sites as Hohenschwangau Castle, Neuschwanstein Castle (the model for Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland) and Linderhof and HerrenChiemsee Palaces can be found.

Set in an idyllic, quiet secluded location surrounded by nature, you can enjoy your holidays. In our house we offer you holiday apartments and double rooms with breakfast.Beside it is our farm with dairy cows. At breakfast you can enjoy homemade products. For your children there is plenty of space to play, petting and anyone who wishes can even watch the milking, or ride a lap on the tractor.
There was no room in the inn wenn I came back for XMAS to Neubeuern 1 st time for many years- my parents couldn’t accommodate all of us.... Frenetic searching last minute (not clever) lead to Niederauer Hof and luckily Karin would accommodate us (although she had not planned to stay open over the season) Arriving at Niederauer Hof is approaching a working Farm (come before 5 to get the keys as I ll have to attend the cows afterwards was the message I got after confirming) but the rooms and serviced apartments are far from agricultural Situated in a 15 year old side building they are state of the art and sympathetically converted, good size rooms and bathroom, rustique but without unnecessary alpin bric a brac and well appointed- think natural materials waxed and oiled wood, hypoallergenic pillows.... everything you need (and probably more) is there- hair dryer, little amenity bottles, internet- the feel is more boutique hotel than bandb and the rooms and well appointed flats would suit overnight guest as well as couples or families who want to explore the area. We haven’t tried breakfast but what we saw in the room and the quality coffee and tea and honesty bar as well as home grown produce available will most likely give top marks here also... A gem

We stayed for a week (too short, will stay longer next time) at this lovely farm. Typical Bavarian traditional style with gorgeous window boxes full of flower and hand painted furniture. The rooms are spacious, well lit, well equipped with modern bathrooms and kitchens, they all have access to exteriors balconies overlooking the mountains (and the grazing cows). The farm is well situated, about 10 minutes by foot from downtown Schwangau and 20 from Füssen. The only minor negative is the road that passes not too far from the farm and which can be quite busy at times. Because of Covid restrictions, there was no breakfast available but we did get organic fresh milk every morning as well as "Brötchen", which helped us get over the disappointment. The hosts are lovely, very helpful, super friendly and knowledgeable about the region. They let us wander the farm with our 14 month old. We visited the cows and calves every day, followed the tractors, fed the angora rabbit... It was such a great time for him and us. We will definitely come back, hopefully post-Covid!

We were delighted with this find - a family-run Bavarian Gasthof right on the Danube Bike Trail. Beautiful flowers in planters hanging from the decks, a large patio where you can sip a cold beer or glass of wine while looking out to the Danube, and a host who blows a horn from the patio at passing riverboats who have honked their horns in greeting. What could be more delightful!? We stayed in September. Our upstairs room (room #1) was spacious, faced the river and had its own deck with chairs and a table. Traditional room furnishings included a double pine bed with a firm mattress (two individual duvets, of course), en suite with shower, and pine floors - all very clean. Breakfast served in the downstairs breakfast room was traditional Bavarian fare (egg, cold meats, cheeses, bread, coffee), a substantial start for a day of cycling. There are no other restaurants in the immediate vicinity so if you arrive before dinner you are committed to dinner on the premises; we ordered the seniors' portion and shared it, very generous; reasonable prices. Dining areas available both indoors and out. Quiet rural surroundings for a good night's sleep! We highly recommend this spot!

I stayed of course for one night as everybody. I found it at a very reasonable price (35€) so it was a win win situation. I really wonder after reading some reviews here, what more can a passenger expect for a short sleep before flight! I had a car to give back to the airport, it took me 10 minutes to find the parking for the rented cars. Warm room and big beds. Nothing more, nothing less. Why not 5 stars? I wonder... NOTE: You check in in a different hotel, so follow the gps to the adress listed and do not search for a sign of "Joe Polo Ranch" (like i did). Enter the reception and they will guide you to the room.

The Wannenkopfhütte, a Allgaeu alpine hut, is situated in Obermaiselstein near Oberstdorf. In 1,350 m above sea level, guests may admire a gorgeous view of the Allgaeu Alps. The rooms are equipped simple and have a peculiar charme. The bathrooms are situated on the floors. The Wannenkopfhütte is a treasure for nature lovers and offers various possibilities to go rambling.
A very pretty and typical Baverian alpine hut, I stayed for 2 nights. It was steep but relatively short (20 minutes or so) from the roadside parking up to the huts location The bed was comfortable and warm, the hut food was hearty and typical for the region. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the stay very pleasurable The hut itself is basic but has everything you ned for a great stay in the mountains

Camere molto pulite anche se poco insonorizzate verso le altre. Personale cortese, ma pochi parlano in inglese. Colazione molto ricca, prevalentemente salata. Possibilità di bici a noleggio in ottime condizioni e a prezzi vantaggiosi.

We were given Room 107 which is a suite with a balcony overlooking the beer garden - it was wonderful and we would recommend requesting this room when booking. All staff were very friendly and the breakfast and evening meals were good. The pool is big enough for coolng off and was much appreciated after a day's sightseeing. It is up a steep hill if you're cycling, but it didn't faze us with e-bikes. If we return to this area we will definitely stay here again.
