The 10 Best Private Tours in Perth, Western Australia

March 27, 2022 Roseanne Arnett

Perched on the banks of the wide Swan River, between the Indian Ocean and the sands of the Nullarbor Desert, Perth is one of the world's most isolated cities, yet still boasts an active beach scene and smokin’ nightlife. Family-friendly Cottesloe is brimming with swimmers, surfers and snorkelers. Head north to Scarborough for a spirited beachside club scene. Coo at cute marsupials on ferry-accessible Rottnest Island, and don’t miss the views from King's Park and Botanic Gardens.

This was our second tour with Sergio on our trip. Our first full day was in the Margaret River area. We had such a fantastic time with Sergio that when our travel plans had to change and we were going to be in Perth for an extra week we decided to book again with Sergio for another day trip. We visited a winery, went to Caversham Wildlife Park, had lunch at the Lobster shack in Cervantes and then experienced the impressive Pinnacles! Sergio was a wonderful ambassador for Perth. We thoroughly enjoyed his passion and expertise. He is a very kind and respectful tour guide and we would highly recommend him. You will have a wonderful experience!

This is a private tour for you and your group only. The day offers a broad overview of the region and is not simply a wine tour. The Swan Valley is one of the only wine regions within a 30 minute drive of a major capital city anywhere in the world. It is also one of the oldest wine growing regions in Australia. Over 40 wineries, breweries and distilleries operate in the valley, and there is a huge choice of restaurants as well. There is a strong tradition of fortified winemaking and a long record of producing whites that are simple, fresh and crisp. The reds grown in the valley are known for their remarkable softness and drinkability at an early age. A rustic charm fills this region and a number of talented artists and craftsmen live here. Blacksmiths & Metal Craftsmen, Stonemasons & Fabric designers to name a few. To visit the region for the wine and food alone is a missed opportunity so I include these wonderful creative options for you. Tastings & Lunch costs are extra.

Inclusions: Knowledgeable and fun guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Private tour, Comfortable Airconditioned Car, Great music, conversation & local knowledge, Chilled bottled water, Flexibility to choose your own Wineries & Lunch stop

Exclusions: Lunch. There are many Lunch stop options, Tastings are additional and range from $5 -$10 pp

I strongly recommend Perths Tiny tour / Peter. We did 2 tours with Peter: the pinnacles day tour and the Margaret river tour. For each tour, he picked us at our hotel and dropped us off at the end of the tour. The tours were well organized and we saw really nice things: the must sees like the Pinnacles but also more peculiar things like the gnomes'village. Peter was also a really informative guide telling us a lot about western Australia. FYI, we booked 2 tours with other companies and they cancelled last minute. Peter saved us and took us last minute on the Margaret river tour. Thank you Peter!

Booked a Perth Waterbike tour of Elizabeth Quay to impress our friends from Melbourne. Booking on the website was easy. Neville was an excellent guide taking us along the edge of South Perth foreshore before heading across the Swan river, first having a look at the Bell tower and then into Elizabeth Quay. On the trip back we even managed to travel under the Narrows. Neville was a fabulous informative guide and took lots of photos & video of our hour long adventure. The bikes are easy to ride and manoeuvre. Highly recommend for all ages

"The Thirsty Three (or Four) Tour" is a private customisable responsible drinking tour for small groups of friends or family only. Please note that the itinerary list is a guide only of what is available in the Swan Valley. Flexibility is a key factor and you may wish to focus on a particular alcohol ie: beer, wine, spirits etc, so please contact me in advance to discuss any special interests. Unlike larger tour groups, this small group tour offers great flexibility and privacy. I can suggest destinations to suit your taste and offer options or alternatives to adjust during the day if unforeseen circumstances arise. Being a small group also means the tour can offer more destinations as you are not waiting for others, or driving a larger vehicle which can be slower. I can suggest and prebook a lunch destination suited to your tastes in advance subject to availability. Please advise any special dietry requirements.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Bottled water

Exclusions: Drinks tastings are not included.

We just loved this tour, Been before (2017) but much has been added since - especially the hatchery & nursery for the all-important oysters themselves. We had an informative drive out from Broome with David and an enthusiastic, witty and informative tour led by Caleb which included opening a pearl shell and a guided on-water tour to the pearl lines. An excellent morning tea followed, complete with homemade damper, in a beautiful shaded setting. We then met with owner Robert (a modest man, clearly well across the whole business) in the pearl display room where we learned of the key qualities of a pearl - and the direct relationship to price! This is a fun, good value tour and thoroughly recommend a visit (5 hours start to finish).
