Negros Oriental (Cebuano: Sidlakang Negros; Hiligaynon: Negros Sidlangan; Filipino: Silangang Negros), also called Oriental Negros or Eastern Negros, is a province located in the region of Central Visayas, in the Philippines. It occupies the southeastern half of the large island of Negros, with Negros Occidental comprising the northwestern half. It also includes Apo Island, a popular dive site for both, local and foreign tourists.

A 40 minute drive to cool and lush Valencia, takes you to Pulangbato Falls or Red River Valley, aptly named because of the reddish rocks around the falls, and in the pool of water. Take refereshing swim, while enjoying the naturally cooler surroundings. Next head to the hot spring for the therapeutic dip. Pulangbato Falls is located in the Ocoy Valley in the town of Valencia Negros Oriental. It is aptly named so because of the waterfall’s seemingly red river water which is caused by the presence of natural reddish rocks found in the area. Pula is the native word for red while bato, for rock. Thus, if interpreted, the name would be red rock.

Apo Island is a volcanic island covering 74 hectares in land area, 7 kilometers off the southeastern tip of Negros Island and 30 kilometers south of the Negros Oriental capital of Dumaguete in the Philippines. The name "Apo" was derived from a Filipino word for "grandchild"

A university town and provincial capital, Dumaguete is the ideal base for exploring what Negros Oriental has to offer. It is nicknamed The City of Gentle People because of the warm hospitality of locals. Your half day tour begins with a visit to Silliman University where you can stroll across the campus lined with acacia trees dating back a century. This stop also includes an informative tour of the university’s Anthropological Museum, better known as the Silliman Hall, which is only open on weekends. Built in 1909, Silliman Hall is considered the oldest wooden structure of Eastern Stick Style of American architecture in the Philippines. Next stop is a visit to St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral, the oldest stone church on the island, and Campanario de Dumaguete, considered as one of the oldest heritage landmarks of Negros. For the more adventurous type who have had some basic caving experience, we will take you to more challenging caves with opportunity to rappel and apply vertical caving techniques and single rope technique, as well as hiking, swimming in an underground river, crawling under and squeezing in tight spaces, guided by your headlamps and the cavern naturalist.

An hour's drive north of Dumaguete brings you to Bais CIty, where an outrigger motorboat will cruise you along Tanon Strait to spot dolphins, and if lucky, whales too! You will also isit the Campuyo White Sandbar where you can swim and snorkel in its clear blue waters, or just laze around the fine white sand beach. Cap off the morning with a hearty lunch onboard of mixed grill. Headback to wharf by noontime and proceed to Sibulan. An hour and a half drive from Dumaguete to Sibulan, with half the drive on a hilly terrain affords you a panoramic view of the Tanon Strait and Cebu and the beautiful countryside. Located in Sitio Balanan, Siaton- about an hour and half drive from Dumaguete, Lake Balanan is 285 meters above sea level and is fed by the Lamarao, Balanan and Managobsob creeks. For those who love nature-trekking, there is a four-kilometer circumferential pathway around the Lake under a canopy of vaious indigenous forest trees. Trekkers will also get a chance to see three waterfalls at the other side of the Lake.
