Enjoy the amazing winter landscape in this 8-9 hour private tour in the North of Iceland. The journey starts in Akureyri and the first stop of the day is the wonderful Goðafoss waterfall, from there on its direction Lake Mývatn with all its natural wonders. After taking a lunch break at a local restaurant, its time to head to the biggest waterfall in Europe, Dettifoss waterfall. On that route the superjeep comes in handy and maybe snowshoes as well. Kristjan came to our rescue at the last minute, taking five of us on a brilliant full day tour to Dettifoss. He was prompt, pleasant, easy to get along with, with excellent English and a great sense of humour. His off-road driving in deep snow was steady, safe and highly skilled. His knowledge of Icelandic geology, history, culture and industry kept us entertained and informed without it being intrusive as we travelled through the beautiful white landscape. He was calm and reassuring as he led us to the astonishing Dettfoss waterfall wearing snowshoes (coudn’t be easier). A breathtaking sight in a magnificent landscape. Best day of our holiday in lovely Iceland. Thank you so much!

Thank you Helga for such a fun experience! We had our Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik tour in March of 2019 and we still think about how amazing the experience was. Helga was very knowledgeable and drove us around telling us about the city. She also brought us to the Blue Lagoon and dropped us back off. It was easy, convenient and affordable. We would do every tour with her if we could! We can’t wait until we can come back to Iceland !!!

I don't do reviews often but this company deserves it. Hlynur was AMAZING. So prompt, professionally dressed, funny, kind, personable, knowledgeable, and amazing with my children. It was my twins' 9th birthday that day, they asked prior how old and surprised them with a gift for each that they loved. Made them feel so special. One had to visit restroom towards end of tour and he whisked her off through a HUGE crowd directly to one we could not have found ourselves and the tour was already done. They went above and beyond and gave us a fantastic day. The nature baths and Lake were so awesome and Iceland overall - you just can't go wrong. Beautiful place and Hlynur loves his home and country and you can tell through his tour and passion for the things we were seeing. I cannot recommend them enough. DO BOOK THROUGH THEM if you book at all!
The Askja Caldera tour brings out the essence of Iceland nature experience. The day begins early, heading into the barren wastelands of Iceland´s interior. Our ride is a Jeep and the CO2 impact of the whole trip is offset by a certified agent. There will be stops along the way in order to meet locals who show us the “hows” and “whats” of living in this wonderful place of contrasts. Along the way there will be plenty of photo ops, offering the chance to capture the incredible beauty and landscapes that go from lush to lunar. Lunch stop is en-route depending on conditions on the way, including delicious locally sourced ingredients. We will stop by to visit the place that NASA used as a training ground for astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin for the Apollo 11 lunar landing in 1969. Askja is an active volcano, which last erupted in 1961. The tour includes a hike to the explosion crater Víti (e. Hell) where it is possible to bathe in the geothermal lake in the crater.

We are very pleased to evaluate our guided trip to Iceland last May. Michael, our guide, made our trip amazing. We both said afterwards that this was the best trip that we have ever taken, and we have traveled to many different countries. Iceland, combined with Michael’s personality and knowledge of the country ensured that our trip was educational, fun, and adventuresome. We were on a private tour of southwestern Iceland with two friends from the United States (they are currently in the middle of Hurricane Florence so they might not be able to provide a review for awhile). We were full of questions and Michael was very knowledgeable and he answered all of our questions thoroughly. He taught us about the geology, history, and culture. He knew exactly what was important for us to see on our private tour. We were picked up at our hotel and we toured around in a SUV. We trusted Michael’s driving throughout our seven-day trip. There were no glitches in our accommodations and the places we stayed in were ready for us at each destination. The tour was very carefully formulated. Our guide knew when to give us space and when to engage with us. We were all senior citizens and we were taken on tours that accommodated our age and different physical abilities. The icing on the cake was Michael’s personality. We enjoyed so many laughs and giggles on the trip. He was warm and respectful of us. Would we do this tour or any other tour with Michael again? Absolutely. Thank you Michael! Heather Coleman and Don Collins
A three day adventure to Akureyri and Mývatn from Reykjavík visiting Goðafoss, Dimmuborgir, Námaskarð, Krafla, Jarðböðin and Tröllaskagi Peninsula. The scenery on the northern tip on Tröllaskagi peninsula is quite amazing, open ocean, facing the Arctic.

We had a lovely time visiting Iceland. As we didn’t hire a car Helga’s customised tours ensured that we managed to see all of Iceland sights including going beyond the itinerary to take us to the beautiful Diamond beach. We started as customers but parted as friends- beautifully run tours of small sizes so as personalised as you would like and value for money at the same time.
A great tour around the lake Mývatn area where we see how the power of nature has formed the country and how it's still working beneath our feet. We explore beautiful spots and enjoy the stunning scenery along the way. This tour is private, so only you will be on board
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Private transportation, All Fees and Taxes
Exclusions: Lunch can be bought at restaurants or supermarkets along the route. You are not allowed to consume your own food at restaurants, Can be purchased on board
Our main reason for coming to Iceland was to see northern lights so my daughter and I chose this tour with Jónas for just the two of us. He was absolutely amazing! We got to see the northern lights that we have been longing for for so long and he even treated us to homemade hot chocolate and very tasty donuts which was a nice touch. Jónas is a jack of all trades so he knows a lot about the area and can give you the science behind the lights. You can tell that he loves his country just based on how passionate he is and how excited he is to share it with visitors. He took professional pictures for us and allowed us to download them so that we could show them to our friends and family which is a fantastic perk since we could not get our cameras to work very well each time the lights showed up. We had done a similar northern lights tour in Reykjavik which had 15 people packed on a small bus where everything felt squished and rushed, but this trip was 10x better than that. You won’t be disappointed by having Jónas take you out to see the northern lights. He’s a wonderful person and treated us as guests unlike some of the bigger companies that just pack as many people as they can on a bus to get the most money. So book your next trip with Jónas and go see those northern lights as they are stunning!
