The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.

The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. The place was easy to find and felt like were were in a Japanese school. It would have been nice if we all could have chosen what we wanted to draw from a selection of templates instead of having one set design for us all to copy. The workshop itself was not particularly challenging as it consisted of mainly tracing and colouring in so great for complete beginners with limited artistic abilities. Overall we had a great time and could even take home a stationary pack to continue manga drawing at home! Would really recommend for a laid back introduction into the world of manga!
