Situated right on the main MG road this temple is the shrine for Lord Shiva. in addition Lord Vishnu's deity is also installed seperately. It is a very old temple ...But with lots of positive vibes. Worth making a visit to enjoy peace of mind.

The Ananthankadu Sree Nagaraja Temple, situated in the heart of Trivandrum is located just behind the famous Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple, on its western side. This is much frequented temple devoted to the Snake God, Sree Nagaraja. The rituals and the deities are awesome. Te pooja timings are in the morning and the temple is open in the evenings as well. The access to the temple, tjough is a bit congested with not sufficient space for a motor car to travel. During Naga Poornima and Ayilyam days the temple will be teeming with devotees. The main offerings are Milk and Turmeric Powder. The Lord is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Anantha, on whom Lord Vishnu lies. There was reportedly a forest in the area in the earlier days of the city and it was called the Ananthan Kadu.(Forest of Anantha).

A very nice outing place especially in the evening... A small trek. around 100 steps. A giant rock. As of now it is free entry , but they are planning to have a restricted entry soon, Being at the eastern side of Trivandrum , we could see a nice view of full trivandrum city from here.

This attraction which is around 15km from trivandrum, is a must see place. It has two entries. One from down hill (ie, from Sreekaryam kattaikonam road) and other one directly on to the top (form pothenkode- kariyam route). If you prefer to have a soft trek(hardly a km, but on a single rock) , the first one is advisable . This route is more enjoyable too On the base there is Cave temple with Siva as deity. On the top cane overpass is built, You can have a clean view of the city from northern side. Better be there by around 5 to 6 in the evening
