A must visit in Orchha, wonderful work of architecture, small walk from the town on the banks of the Betwa river the Cenotaphs are a peaceful place to spend the early morning and late evenings. The garden and the middle of the complex is an excellent place to walk around. Note that you need to buys your tickets from the tourist ticket counters in the city, no counter at the Cenotaphs.

We had heard about Maheshwar which is about 72 km from Indore and has been a seat of power for the Holkar Dynasty for hundreds of years, This is a very serene small city on the banks of the river Narmada, The main attraction is the Ahilyabai Ghat which is a riverfront type ghat on the banks of the river, Best times to visit are early morning to 11:00 and evening from 16:00 onwards to night, They also have a Narmada aarti in the evenings at 20:00 hours everyday, This is a picturesque location and very calming to the mind as u can just keep sitting here in the light river breeze and forget about everything else, The ghat boasts of very ancient temples which have very interesting stories about them, Please do a local guide who are very helpful and knowledgable, they charge about Rs. 350 per session and are worth it.

Natural limestone rocks which guard both the banks of Narmada river . Interacting with water has given them myriad texture and colors. White, Cream, Grey, Brown and Blue are all the colors that you can see in these few kms stretch. Naturally formed jagged lines and creative shapes ( Shiva, Sadhu, Bird) you can spot a many during the winding boat ride in the Narmada river , nestled in a valley of these breathtaking limestone rocks. Thankfully the filth and litter that humans create around a 'ghat' is completely missing . So you actually end up experiencing pristine nature . Gushing water, sculptural rocks within a 30 mins road drive from the city of Jabalpur. Pay extra and take the private ferry to boat deeper in Bhedaghat . If you don't mind the 'bollywood shooting ' peppered stories of the boat guys , the ride will be even more interesting . Its a definite activity when visiting Madhya Pradesh or even India as a tourist
