It was amazing! We went both on Low tide and Full tide, the rocks are fun to climb seeing amazing water contrast and rock colour contrast as well as enjoying the rock pools and being able to jump of the CLIFF

The Buddha Sanctuary at Cable Beach has received some loving TLC over the past few months with a new decking platform, shaded new entry area, landscaped gardens and a sacred rock pond on its way. The space has also recently transitioned to be known as the Blue Body Buddha Sanctuary - linking it with a well-established meditation and wellness centre, the Blue Body Spiritual Centre based in Perth, WA. Despite the change of name, the Buddha Sanctuary remains closely connected with Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa and offers daily yoga classes for resort guests and locals. Spending quiet time at the Buddha Sanctuary is a must for anyone visiting Broome. Established more than 10 years ago as a space for the local community, the Buddha Sanctuary is home to a 4 metre tall, crystal Buddha that harnesses the energy of Buddha Kuan Yin (goddess of Mercy and Compassion). The Yoga Pavilion, open decking area and ornamental garden offers visitors a special space for quiet reflection, meditation and relaxation. The Buddha Sanctuary is open from 7am - 10am and 4pm - 7pm on most days. Yoga classes are currently held Monday to Friday (6am & 7.30am) with an additional evening class at 5.15pm on Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays.

The Bastion..Breathtaking view of 5 rivers heading into the Cambridge gulf.lived in Kununurra now 6 months after gettibg stuck.. its beautiful during the wet and dry..in the dry, you canvdrive across the floodplains toHome Valley Station, Diggers Station and eventually, el Questro Station. All worth a few days visit! If your hear during the dry-tourist season, you can head back to Kununurra via Parrys Lagoons; visiting Marlgu Billabong, Button Hole, Black wall falls, Valentine Springs and cross the Ivanhoe crossing back to Kununurra. Beautiful wildlife and no traffic..worth a day in itself. Plenty of safe swimming holes..waterfalls only..unless you sit on the road at Ivanhoe. Back to Kununurra via the highway, visit the grotto and walk down 446 steps to a 300ft deep waterfall and swimming hole, or stop at Molly Springs.. Theres sooo much to take in, in the East Kimberleys!

This was our first visit to Kununurra and headed out Ivanhoe Rd to check out the irrigated plantations. Luckily we drove far enough and accidentally happened upon the Ivanhoe crossing. We parked and watched a couple of vehicles cross through the flowing water, while laughing at the pelicans waiting for an easy snack. On the road back to town we stopped again to look at the irrigation channels as we were curious as to how it worked. It was great when a contractor from the plantation stopped and was happy to answer our “touristy” questions.

This is accessed via a sealed road just off the road to the Port. Our visit there was disappointing, since the main jetty walk is mostly closed and there's little to see. But we parked at Entrance Point and went for a walk there instead, and spent well over an hour leisurely exploring the area. There's two boat ramps here, and it appears to be a popular spot for fishing. But for the most part it was very quiet, with very few people here. The rock formations are especially interesting, with a lot of variety in the types of rocks, starting from the car-park, and the closer you get to the waterline the rocks change to different formations and different rock types. At low tide when we visited there were little rock pools. Immediately adjacent is Reddell Beach, which goes from here all the way to Gantheaume Point. We walked about 2km of it (not quite half-way), and it was flat and beautiful for walking. The sand is yellow in colour, different from the white at Cable Beach, and the ocean itself is clearer and more turquoise. We also saw some tiny mud crabs on the beach itself. A delightful place to spend a couple of hours on a sunny day!
