Marina Vallarta operated by Bay View Grand, is considered a prime location marina located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta Jalisco. Marina Vallarta offers all our guests excellent customer service, 354 slips up to 160´, pump out services, power, water, oil disposal, dry dock, Internet Wi-Fi which is the best in the region, fuel station in the entrance channel, hotels, restaurants, bars, and much more, all these just 3 minutes away from the International airport and 10 minutes from Puerto Vallarta downtown.
We stayed at the Mayan Hotel in the marina which is on the Pacific Ocean beach. After a very short walk to the Marina, you will be very impressed with all of the gorgeous sail boats and yachts, as well as the restaurants and shops. The restaurants range from some at very low prices to other white tablecloth establishments with fine dining menus. Easy to spend a few hours in this area every day.

This main hub of Puerto Vallarta features many shops, art galleries and a gazebo.
The Plaza Principal is across the street from the waterfront Plaza del las Armas, and is an important stop for all tourists. First, the pavilion in the centre of this plaza is home to local musicians, so hopefully you'll catch some tunes. Second, the large 'municiple building' on the corner has a public washroom, free. Third, the east end of the plaza houses Our Lady of Guadaloupe Church, a beautiful iconic church with the 'crown' on her upper reach. Buy a cerzeza in the plaza at a local shop, sit a spell and watch, maybe a bite to eat from a street vendor? Just enjoy, take a picture, and breath in all in. Hola Paul

A popular shopping strip in Tlaquepaque, a tiny suburb on the outskirts of Guadalajara.
Great place to enjoy Mexican food and shopping. Calle Independencia in the artists' neighborhood of Tlaquepaque is closed to vehicles and serves as an outdoor pedestrian mall. There are numerous craft shops, restaurants, and fine art galleries. Lovely Mexican handicrafts and food. There are also street performers. Nice place for visitors to stroll and appreciate this lovely Guadalajara neighborhood. The area is also known for mariachis and Day of the Dead festivities. I did my Christmas shopping!

Home of Iglesia de Guadalupe, Puerto Vallarta's most distinctive landmark.
We have spent several wonderful evenings at the Plaza which is on the Malecon. Week of Feb 14th lots of great entertainment. Singers, dancers, buskers and just tons of people wandering around enjoying the many restaurants, views and vendors.

This traditional plaza has frequent free evening concerts and is always filled with a variety of amateur musicians.
A true "agora", where both locals and tourists gather, whether it's gazing at the old architectural treasures of Guadalajara's historic center, or just people watching. There are entertainers, and food vendors around, lots of restaurants, and only a few benches to rest for free (there should be more).

This always busy downtown plaza lies at the heart of the city's historic district.
My friend and I hired a local, English speaking, guide to walk us around the Centro Historico area. Knowing the history of Guadalajara made this plaza much more interesting than just walking through it. I also enjoyed sitting in a cafe drinking coffee and people watch. I've been to Guadalajara several times and I always enjoy seeing what events, activities and programs they have going on in the plaza.
