This monument was unveiled on 28th December 2013 to commemorate the rail disaster some 134 years earlier on that fateful night when 59 people died in the Tay Rail Disaster. There were no survivors. It is on the left past when you go under the the rail bridge heading from Dundee direction just as the road bends and you will see some of the old pillars of the old bridge. Nice to see the Disaster recognised. Good views of the new rail bridge from here as well. Well worth a visit.

Lol pass this everyday two days in the week going to visit my friend who lives in the area.... I always stop and say a few words to the many men who have fallen in the black watch .....Most of all the families in Dundee like myself have always had someon in this regiment so its good that we can visit and remember them......There is not anything else there but the statue but always has visitors......
