My son had his 18th Birthday Go-Karting yesterday (24/04/2021) Jacob is really unique- he has autism & is very particular about certain things. We were helped by Charlie who was simply amazing from start to finish. He helped organise, plan, prepare such a brilliant party. Even during the (end of thankfully) the covid pandemic we couldn’t have asked for more. The strict covid rules were applied at all times & the karting is of a real high standard. Jacob is absolutely beaming at coming first (obviously pre arranged) and spoke for the whole rest of the day about it. What an amazing experience- thank you Charlie & FF team. Five stars from us all!!

Babbling Brook of Waterside

Based on the grounds of the Waterside Primary Academy school. Discovered in 2020 after a gardening session on the grounds led to the discovery of 'The Babbling Brook', a long lost natural water feature. It has been classed as 'The talk of Chesham' with locals flocking to see its beauty.

Denham Lock Canalside

We walked here from the Colne Valley car park, and crossed the canal via the lock gates. People were sitting and enjoying the sunshine, but we found a path into a beautiful flower meadow. It’s a nature walk within the country park, and was really lovely.

Chenies Manor House and Gardens

A beautiful, historic landmark and exclusive wedding venue with extensive award-winning gardens, tucked away in idyllic Buckinghamshire countryside. Chenies Manor House is one of the UK’s finest Tudor Mansion Houses. Steeped in history, the Grade I Listed building is set in Buckinghamshire’s charming estate village of Chenies and overlooks the Chess Valley. The venue’s grounds boast award winning gardens and original 13th Century features including a Medieval well, a dungeon and a reputed priest hole. Beautifully nestled in the natural beauty of the surrounding Chiltern landscape, Chenies Manor is open to visitors and used as Buckinghamshire’s choice venue for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, events, filming and guided tours. The idyllic rural setting of the manor also benefits close proximity to London and London Heathrow, situated just outside of the M25.

Beautiful gardens on a rainy afternoon. Optional free interesting and passionate talk given on the history of the manor by a lady with a broken wrist ( apologies I didn't ask your name) including details of some fairly recent finds by the Time Team and some ghostly tales followed by coffee and cake included in the £6.00 timed tea room ticket. There is also a well deeper than the height of Nelson's Column that you can see right to the bottom of thanks to some clever lighting. Although the manor and church weren't open there is still plenty to see. Will definitely return when the house reopens.

Quainton Windmill

Quainton Windmil is a historic windmill in the village of Quainton, Buckinghamshire. The six-storey brick tower mill was built 1830-32, is one of the most visible buildings in the village.

Stunning 6-storey windmill - the 3rd tallest in the country - currently undergoing top-notch restoration - so missing its sails. Arrived mid-morning during the week not knowing if they were open, but Nick a member of the family (who has owned the windmill since it was built), was happy to give me a full in depth personal tour of the windmill for free! Though i'm hasten to add that they gratefully accept donations to help with its restoration. Whilst it was a long sometimes dirty hot slog to get to the roof, the views from the tail deck were simply stunning on a sunny April morning (yes, a rarity!!!). Nick's knowledge of the history and workings of the mill were excellent. I'll definitely be bring the kids back to visit this relic of a bygone age when wing was used to grind corn! Highly recommended - though do check when they're open.

A refreshingly friendly greeting. Not having visited the place before, I was grateful for the guidance on how to find my way around the grounds,as its a big place. The main house was impressive, but must cost a fortune to maintain. The library was also incredibly beautiful. Everyone I met on my visit was genuinely happy, friendly and helpful. I found this most intriguing, as not many places I go these days seem to give a damn. I became more curious about Buddhism instantly.........................
