Owned and operated by the North Carolina Aquariums, Jennette's Pier offers ocean fishing, educational programs with camps and fabulous facility rentals in Oceanview Hall. The 1,000-foot long pier is open year-round but hours vary with the seasons. All fishing customers are covered by a blanket fishing license while on the pier. Pick up ice, bait, tackle, drinks, T-shirts, hats, toys and more at the Pier Shop. Large public beach access complete with free parking, bath house and outdoor showers. Help us keep it "clean and green."
Beautiful concrete pier part of the NC Aquarium System, feels so sturdy and stable. For free, walk in and see the huge aquariums with fish identification and browse the gift shop for a souvenir. Walk out onto the pier for a small fee and do some fishing, see and read the exhibits providing information about the ocean and marine life, birds, renewable energy or people watch. Great views of the sea and beach. Parking is free but can limited at busy times.

The pier is old school beach. FREE to walk out and see what's biting. Reasonable cost to fish. The store has plenty of fishing supplies as well as tourist gifts, snacks, and a decent game room. A visit is a step back in time. Even if you don't fish, everyone should stroll out on a pier. Chances are good you will have up-close encounters with seabirds like wrens, gulls, and pelicans.

Love walking on the boardwalk. It's a nice walk, and you are able to stop in at the different shops along the way.

When we come to Oak Island my son loves fishing off of the pier. He meets new people every year and make new friends they talk about the fishing on the pier and fishing back where we are from and back where they are from so this pier brings fish men from all over together it’s a great place

Bogue Inlet Pier is a must see when in Emerald Isle. Our family makes several visits during the week of vacation each year. It is free to enter the pier, although there are signs that parking has a fee, we have never had to pay. It is fun to walk out and watch people fishing. We have witnessed sharks, jelly fish, and rays nearly every trip. You can pay to fish, and there is a small convenience store with ice cream, drinks, snacks, souvenirs and fishing tackle. There is a restaurant attached and clean restrooms at the entrance. It can be a busy place, but generally a quiet crowd.

The pier was rocking with many fishermen. They were catching too! Enjoyed just watching the fishing and the boats passing by. I never miss a chance to visit this part of Southport.

We enjoyed our time on this pier and around it's base. They have a cute little setting for photo ops - which we took full advantage of. Our walk out on the pier was a sweet, enjoyable time here too, watching the waves and what people were catching from the ocean then.

A beautiful well marked trail. Safe, clean and well appointed. Wildlife, birds and views of the Brunswick River are plentiful. This is a mile long loop trail with benches and a roofed structure perfect for group lectures or a picnic.
