Woven with wild greenery and Gaelic legends, the Emerald Isle is one of Europe’s most prized jewels. Rugged Atlantic beaches and mystery-shrouded sites rub shoulders with the cosmopolitan cities of Belfast and Dublin, where literary history and warm Irish hospitality are always in abundance.

We actually drive all the way to the bottom, the waves crashing in, the view, it’s an amazing spot! Car park at the top gives great views too.

Dun Laoghaire Harbour is a much-valued public amenity used by thousands of people each day for exercising and sight-seeing as well as the facilities provided for the sailing and yachting communities. The harbour is developed and maintained by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. Beautiful place to have a stroll. The Amazing view, just cuts u off from the hustle bustle of the city. This comes under the little joys we need.Jus sitting there watching people walking, angling, jogging, children playing, some with dripping icecreams just cheers u up.

Lovely walk by the seaside. You can walk from the centre of Youghal to the strand near Red Barn. The walk fro the town to the strand is probably 3 miles long on good quality paths. If you want to walk to Red Barn you will have to walk about a half mile on the beach. Well worth while doing it.

This lovely little harbour is a short detour of the Antrim coast road at Ballintoy. It is very scenic with unique rock formations just off shore which was particularly nice with a swell on the water and white caps on the waves like when we were there. It also has the link with Games if Thrones as it is one of the main landscapes depicted for the Iron Islands kingdom. The scent of the ocean and the sea spray is fuel for the soul. Well worth the detour.

I've been walking Dun Laoghaire pier since I was a kitchen d and now I bring my own children... Great view of the town's spires on return leg of journey with Dublin mountains behind... The outward journey is rewarded by a great view over to howth head... Walk the West pier with your dog for a change, it's rougher but quieter
