I had a wonderful experience at the Uffizi Gallery with my guide Irina. I thought the 49 euro ticket was extreeemely good value for what was provided, I was able to skip the queue and Irina provided a huge amount of information. She was engaging and enthusiastic and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Furthermore, Irina emailed me on all of the information that she had mentioned afterwards, so I have the memories and stories of the Uffizi Museum with me forever now. I would highly recommend a tour with Irina! (I was here over a year ago in July 2018!)

It is the first time I have booked any tours with Localers and was really very pleased with their service - Victoria was great with all my many email enquires. We spent a fantastic morning, with an awesome local guide Antonio! He was on time to meet us as arranged. Antonio has a wonderful calm personality, is extremely knowledgeable in various disciplines Art/Sculpture, Architecture & History + General which he shares with ease. Antonio is very friendly with a great sense of humour & also has excellent English. Our itinerary included some of the main highlights of this Renaissance City such as the famous Duomo, the Signoria Square, the Uffizi Courtyard and the Ponte Vecchio Bridge to name a few. We also went off the beaten track to Oltrano where the Florentine locals hang out. We learnt about the Ponte Santa Trinita as we crossed to the other side of the Arno. It is decorated with statues of the four seasons which appear at each corner of the bridge (most of the parts were recovered from the Arno after the demolition of the bridge & were used in its rebuild). We bought some fruit & nuts from a local market and also stopped in a church. We browsed some Artisan Stores with beautiful pictures that were made up of coloured stones/tiles (such attention to detail and such fine artwork, they almost looked painted) & also went into an Artisan Jewellery store. We went for a gelato afterwards from a gelateria that designs their scoops on a cone to look like flower petals (Amorino I think it was called?) Antonio was so helpful with all our questions & was very informative about local food, gelato and places to eat, plus various exhibitions in the city for our interest. I honestly felt as if we were exploring Florence with a friend. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our private tour with him. I took so many photos it was difficult to choose just a few for this review. I really was so impressed, because Antonio recognized & greeted us with a friendly Ciao, when we walked past him in the city a couple of days after our tour. We hope to visit Italy/Florence again in the next year and would love to do another Localers Tour. Until then, big hugs from South Africa & all our best & Grazie to Antonio!
After 50 years Florence has finally opened its Museum of the twentieth century! Surprisingly in such a place of the city of glorious past of mankind: the St. Paul's Hospital. A place for pilgrims and a school for poor girls. It was one of the first schools for girls in the world, under the Grand Duke Peter Leopold of Habsburg, in the eighteenth century. This is why this building is called "Leopoldine", as it was the name of the school. Nowadays stuffed with artworks of the Florentine Masters of the 20th Century

Elias was our assigned photographer he understood our needs perfectly and worked with us very well. He took the most amazing pictures of my daughter. Even though I did not want my own picture taken he also convinced me of that. Many locations are closed in Morocco currently because of covid but we found many beautiful alternate locations instead. There is so much beauty in Marrakech you will definitely want to document it with this group. Pictures were delivered to us two days later while we were still on vacation. I asked for a few edits and the group was very cooperative in providing them.
