Da Nang is laid-back and friendly, maybe because everyone you meet has just finished an amazing meal. Culinary tours are a hugely popular way to experience literal local flavor. After you’ve stuffed yourself with bold noodle soups and savory street foods, walk it off by exploring the limestone caves and Buddhist grottos of the Marble Mountains.

Discover a fascinating part of Danang little-known to tourists while learning the fundamentals of travel and documentary photography. We explore the city’s bustling waterfront as it wakes for the new day, and deep-sea trawlers bring in their overnight catch. Fishermen carry their haul in bamboo coracles to a small curve of beach, where a vibrant market awaits. On the horizon, traditional teakwood trawlers lay at anchor in the East Sea as the rising sun turns the sky gold. It’s a spectacular start to a unique photographic adventure, and we’ll be looking at composition for stunning landscapes, shooting in low-light, and how to capture people amidst busy activity. From seascapes and markets, our photographic focus turns to portraits of working life, as we head up to Danang port. We mingle with ice-loaders, and capture the rhythms of their sweat-drenched labour. It all makes for an unforgettable adventure in Danang’s maritime heart, with stunning pictures to document it.

While opportunities to actually get out and take photos are extremely limited right now in my location I decided to sign up for a portfolio review session with Vietnam in Focus. Street and travel photography aren't my main style so I was looking to learn from my previous attempts. I booked a 90 minute session which was conducted via video call. The session went smoothly. Boris, my reviewer, had spent some time looking over my images prior to the session so the discussion was constructive from the off. I wasn't sure what to expect but the discussion was really in-depth. We covered a wide range of topics that gave me things to think about both while out with my camera and in post processing; such as colour harmony, framing, context, creating elements of a story, the subject and use of negative space. It was a rewarding session and something I would definitely think about doing again as a way to keep improving.

Chose this tour company thru my canadian travel agent. Excellent choice. It was a private tour. Our guide, our driver my husband and I. It was a good choice considering the covid 19 epidemic. From beginning to abrupt end of our tour we had excellent knowledgeable guides and top drawer accommadations. The tours were well planned and gave us a good understanding of their homeland and what made them proud. We had time to investigate things on our own as well. Unfortunately we had to leave one week early but plan to return one day. We would not hesitate using this company again. We are in our 60's and our activities met our abilities. Felt safe and well informed with necessary changes. We were given a refund for places we were unable to go to

Come and experience the Danang riverside by night. See the ever-changing skyline by sunset, walk over the famous Dragon and Han bridges and see the colorful city from the river. This tour will show you the best of Danang at night and allow you to focus on long exposure photography (so bring a tripod along!) but also on low light street photography. We will focus on how to get the best photos of the colorful lights and create impactful photos of the cityscape but also tell a story of the people there. Take photos of the locals and tourists alike mingling at coffee shops, bars and small street stalls in the evening. Come along on this tour to see how the locals spend their evenings. If you take this tour on a weekend, be prepared for a surprise at the Dragon Bridge at the end of the tour.

Explore one of Vietnam’s most fascinating and iconic spots on this unique half-day photo tour. The Hai Van Pass separates northern and central Vietnam, two very distinct climates and cultures. It also boasts some of the most spectacular views in the entire country. We travel by early morning train from Danang, and capture some of these mountain and seascapes from our window, as well as local life in the carriage. Then we jump off at the tiny station of Lang Co, and head over to photograph the fishermen at work in this tranquil lagoon. We’ll be looking at how to shoot mini-stories of daily working life. Finally we head back up the mountain by road and shoot some more incredible landscapes both north and south from the top of the pass. Learn the art of travel photography while discovering this captivating and unforgettable area of Vietnam.

Thousands, no, ten-thousands tourist fill the streets of the old quarter. It's even hard to see the houses behind the enormous crowds. 90% of the buidings are shops, restaurants, cafés and snackbars. OK, 10% are more interesting. There are some genuine, authentic Chinese houses but most houses are recently renovated and not as they once were. You can also have a short ride in a small boat, called 'sampam', with a lighted lamp. But is this an authentic, well-preserved untouched Vietnamese harbour town? No.

My wife and I met Suu at Danang train station and he offers us a lift to the hotel. First when we realised he had a motorbike we were a bit confused, but we understood quite soon that he and his father are 2 guides that offer motorbike tour around the area. We booked then for a 2 days tour around the countryside and we believe it was one of the best thing we could do. Suu and his father Hai are 2 beautiful people and if you chose to spend 2 days or more with them you will be sure that you will be away from the usual touristic experience. They took care of everything from the bottom to the top, showing you the real Vietnam, and we really enjoyed spending time with them. Definitely worthy to try. If one day we are visiting again Vietnam, we’ll book again other days with them and their motorbike. Thanks Suu and Hai!!! Andrea and Cristina
