The 10 Best Performances in Covent Garden, England

March 12, 2022 Darwin Bolte

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Beautiful the Carole King Musical

Reviewed By Kingpaul100 - Malaga, Spain

I purchased the Carole King Tapestry LP just over 40 years ago and had not played it for the last 10. Just had to go to this musical as I knew nothing about her life and was keen to hear the story. I am so pleased that I went. She was such a prolific songwriter and so talented. The cast put on a great show- You will feel 'the earth move under your feet ' !

Mamma Mia

This show was exactly what I wanted / expected from a Mamma Mia show - it was funny and upbeat with all the classic ABBA songs making it great fun from start to finish. The audience were all up on their feet dancing at the end. Great night for a group of friends or a couple!

The Lion King

You will never forget the theatrical event that is Disney's THE LION KING. Brilliantly re-imagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, Disney's beloved film has been transformed into a spectacular stage production that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. 'There is simply nothing else like it.' I have been waiting years to see the Lion King and it was most definitely worth the wait! From the first note that was sung, to the last note sung I had goosebumps! What fantastic show and an outstanding cast! I hope to get the chance to see it again one day. Thanks to the whole Team for a fantastic, mind blowing and emotional production of my most favourite childhood Disney film.

What a great and unexpected experience. The performers were on stage without a break but this added to the experience as you were kept entertained all the way through. Very unusual ways of generating sounds which I will not give away. It was a mixed aged audience with couples, families, etc. Absolutely enjoyed the experience.

The Plays That Goes Wrong

Reviewed By faydolphin28 - Huddersfield, United Kingdom

A must see if you are visiting London. Playing in the Duchess Theatre on Catherine St, this play is incredibly funny, performed by some extremely talented thespians. I was a bit nervous to if I would like it but the actors/actresses and lighting crew had me laughing from the off. This Play is not advertised enough. Excellent. And something different.
