GOODSPEED MUSICALS' Birthplace of the original productions of Man of La Mancha, Shenandoah, and Annie, and the first regional theatre to receive two Special Tony Awards for its outstanding achievements, Goodspeed Musicals produces America's musical treasures to delight, inspire, and entertain you. Set along the tranquil Connecticut River, our two intimate theatres bring you closer to the excitement of live musicals. The beautiful surrounding countryside is brimming with restaurants, shops, and galleries for a get-away so perfect, you'll want to make it a Goodspeed day!
This theatre/opera house is a delight for the senses. They show a variety of world-class shows, such as Billy Elliott, South Pacific, and Camelot, in a truly gorgeous building that really adds to the overall experience. The building has existed since the mid-19th century, and you can feel the history of some of the shows that originated here, like Man of La Mancha. The acting/singing and the orchestra are consistently superb, which is really a testament to the theatre that it can attract such high-quality talent. It's set right in the heart of East Haddam, next to the Gelston House restaurant (great for a pre-show meal) and right on the scenic Connecticut River. Devils' Hopyard State Park and Gillette Castle State Park are both nearby.

Established in 2004, StageOne is a 225 seat venue in the heart of downtown Fairfield, Connecticut. Originally built primarily for theatre productions, StageOne is consistently voted as the best place to hear live music in the entire region because of the quality of the sound, the intimacy of the space, and the caliber of the artists. There is literally not a bad seat in the house and there are few venues in the country where the fans can be so close to the world-renowned artists who grace the stage in over 200 concerts and productions a year. The artists love to perform here and frequently cite StageOne as their absolute favorite venue. This brings out the very best in them, which is reflected in the quality of their performances and enjoyment of their fans.
Came in from out of state to see a favorite band on StageOne. Excellent seats all around and small size gave the feeling of an intimate concert. Good staff, great bar, fast service. Easy to get to and in the heart of Fairfield. Wish we had an FTC.

MAGIC at the DELAMAR brings the world’s most prolific sleight-of-hand artists to the stunning venues of the DELAMAR properties for rare, intimate performances. Your journey begins with a glass of wine, contains astonishment and laughter, and ends with an entirely new understanding of the word “impossible.”
Had the opportunity to see Magician Tom Pesce at the Delamar; what a fantastic show! A true entertainer, Tom not only had the audience in awe of the magic, he had us all roaring with laughter! The intimate setting of the Delamar was a perfect venue for the show. Since it was a smaller setting, the audience was truly a part of the show. My husband and I had a drink at the Artisian after the show and chatted with other patrons about how great the show was. I would highly recommend taking in a magic show at the Delamar!

As always, Bill Herz was the consummate host as he introduced another highly entertaining and soon to be famous young magician. Top billing for the evening was Alex Boyce, ‘Magic of a Millenial’. This performance was unique and amazing! We were drawn in to a raw, up close encounter, mysterious and convincing, a setting where only the best in this art form can be convincing. Gasping and incredulous - we did not want the manic to end - encore !!

For over 89 years the Sherman Players has provided Sherman and the surrounding communities a full range of high quality theatre.
I have never missed a show here in 22 years!! The local actors work so hard and do AMAZING performances!!! I've had my favorites: Company, Rocky Horror, Big, West Side Story, Steel Magnolias to name a few musicals. The dramas have given me goosebumps at times and the comedies have given me good belly laughs!! I don't know why anyone who loves or even just likes the theater wouldn't come to each performance!! You won't be disappointed! Just wonderful!!!!
