The hotel is located next to beautiful meadows and woods, in a little village with wonderful people - especially our hosts. The building used to be a railway station, now completely turned into a small hotel with only a few rooms and an apartment on the top floor. We booked that particular apartment and that was really amazing. It came with a completely equipped kitchen, a large bathtub with jacuzzi function, and a separated shower “cave”. The view was great from all of the windows. The interiors made the atmosphere very relaxed and cozy. What used to be a waiting room is now the breakfast room, where the carefully prepared breakfast was served. (Should you be on an kind of diet/vegan, etc., you’d better let the hosts know in advance.) For those who might worry about that - we could almost never recognise when a train passed, as they were so fast and silent. Many thanks for Birgit and his husband to create that little gem!

We stayed 5 days in Haus Erika and I can really recommend this place. In the middle of a nice village with a lot of hiking trails started at the front door, so no car needed. Rooms are neat, clean and cosy. We booked with Smart Box ( Bongo ) and this included 2 diners, which were very very good. Also the breakfast and the lunch boxes are super. The owners are very friendly and super helpfull. Sure we go back if we visit Black Forest again. Thank you for the nice stay. Francis and Ann from Belgium

Fantastic hospitality by the owners Mark and Hermein. Friendly, helpful and with knowledge of the surroundings/area and "things to do". Great place with an awesome view to the valley. The B&B is located at the top of a windy road, but easy to get to. Delicious breakfast, served at a reasonable time. Plenty of juice, tea and coffee if needed. (tip: maybe a little more variety after a few days). Highly recommended to family and friends. We will definitely come back!

Positive: - family run hotel(?) -> very friendly people - good restaurant -> quite expensive though - very good breakfast. - large rooms, clean AND with a sofa. - nice area - parking space across the street - free bottle of water Negative: - Limited english , so you better speak German (or understand German) - the restaurant (bar) is open until late and was very loud (with singing / drunk people) which wake you up at night. Especially when they play the piano in the hall way. - no coffee / tea in the room

This is a very friendly and attractive place to stay in Bad Wildbad. We stayed there during the Rossini Festival - all the other guests were also there for the same reason. Our lovely large room - probably the best one - had a big balcony with a view over the funicular which is just a 5-minute walk away. There were quite a lot of stairs involved in getting to it. It had all that one might expect as far as I can remember, not sure about wifi, never tried. The location is very quiet, there is hardly any traffic along the small street that it is on. Breakfast was communal, served by the proprietor - and potentially sociable, if not actually so in our case, more due to our poor abilities in German. Mr Thilo has very good English. Car parking is an issue in the town, because of its topography, and there is no parking at the property at all, but it is only a short walk from one of the town's car parks and the pricing structure there is greatly in favour of the longer stay - a maximum of I think 8 Euros for one day, but we paid only 14 for 3 days. Also if you stay for more than 2 nights in the town you get a card which gives discounts and/or free travel including the funicular. If you are attending the Rossini Festival then you can walk to the venues through the large park entering just at the end of the road very easily and pleasantly in 10 minutes.
