Located some two hours from Freetown [at least by lumbering overland truck], the whole feel of the Bureh Beach is relaxation. Most camped on the sand while some pansies stayed in basic rooms in a nearby hotel, our group venue for breakfasts and dinners. The sand is great. Most of the swimming area is sand. It is not a deep bay so you can go quite far out. The arc of the bay is picture perfect. Volleyball is an option. There were other restaurants and several sets of cabanas. Seafood was fresh that day. We headed out on an excursion to nearby Banana Island from there. Trinket buyers were about. We were there on a Sunday and Monday, late night music the first night being a bit annoying. Sunsets did not pan out. It is overall a good spot to recharge the batteries.

Premier provider of adventure travel and activities in Sierra Leone. We offer unique experiences including multi-day packrafting, trekking and mountain biking expeditions, and customised day trips including wildlife encounters, jungle trekking, watersports, and mountain climbing. If it is in Sierra Leone and we don't offer it, it is probably not worth doing.

This project exists for the benefit of the people of Tasso. The project runs weekend boat trips to Bunce and Tasso Islands in the Sierra Leone River Estuary (or by special arrangement at other times for parties). We have a 60 seat restaurant and 6 timber chalets overlooking the beach, together with a bunk house for scouts and youth groups. Guests are encouraged to stay overnight or for short holidays at Kissy Camp. We offer historic tours to the Bunce Slave Fortress National Monument and Pollumant on Tasso, nature trails and canoe trips through the Tasso Mangrove Forests, birdwatching, beach sports, fishing trips and evening cultural dances. The beach is ideal for children and our staff are highly trained to look after guests.

Ill de Mes-Meheux is the smallest of the three Banana Islands off the coast of Sierra Leone. This uninhabited tropical Island is around 80 acres in size and is the perfect island with which to spend an 'adventure survival' type holiday.

It was a delight to take a walk at the beach. And there's a tourist market at the beach for people who want to buy souvenirs. Overall, it was a lovely visit at the beach.

The stretch has a line of different range of hotels (budget, luxury and a mix) and bars overlooking the sea (seafoods, Chinese, Filipino European and local). Sunset is just great and there is a nearby landing beach where you can actually buy freshly brought-in fish. The beach front is quite clean except for periods where the tidal wave brings in lots of sea weed, but in all it’s a lovely place for relaxation and to share fun moments with family and friends. Several spots for free parking were also available and most of the facilities actually had free internet. It’s worth visiting
