Gowan Hill

Reviewed By 898kerrys - Aberdeen, United Kingdom

If you are looking for stunning views/adventure and a peaceful place to gather your thoughts then take a walk up and see for yourself. Myself and my 10 year old daughter took the tiring but worthwhile stroll (especially in these temps) hike up ‘heiding hill’ today and we are so glad we did . The nature trail itself was stunning, at the first main peak you will find beautiful views of Stirling, the beheading stone and cannons at the (an added bonus for history lovers and photo opportunitists) .Walk just a wee bit further up to the main peak and the views just get even better including the rear view of the castle. Dog walkers/adventurers/tourists/fitness freaks alike would all love this place.
