Queens is the most ethnically diverse area of its size on Earth, which means there's a little something for everyone. Chow down on Indian food, sit in on a traditional Irish pub music session, and dance the night away at a Puerto Rican nightclub, all of it located within a few subway stops. Queens is also the home of the Mets and the US Tennis Open, and the former home of the New York World's Fair, now Flushing Meadow-Corona Park, and Paramount Pictures, now the Museum of the Moving Image.

Yacht Rock Charters provides relaxed sailing on Jamaica Bay, NY Harbor and the Caribbean. A truly unique concept, Deliverance welcomes you aboard in Jamaica Bay, the largest open space in New York City. Here you can stay-cation, leaving the bustle behind to experience a “Wild New York City.” Discover the soul of an Atkins design pilot schooner, and embark on a journey. Go aboard for a day, a sunset, or an unforgettable evening. We LOVE our 40 ft sailing schooner, Deliverance. She is sturdy, strong, and loves to sail. Come chill, and let the moving water beneath the sails relax you. Deliverance has ample deck space for sightseeing and mingling. She’s also equipped with BPA-free cups, cooler full of ice, and bluetooth speakers to play your tunes on your device. We will arrange pick up you and your guests in our traditionally built Chesapeake Bay skiff, Tortuga from restaurant, Thai Rock. From the dock, we will cruise through the mooring field to Deliverance. We got the rest!

Long Island beach in Queens borough that can be reached by subway. Popular destination for New Yorkers in mid-20th century, still pleasant to visit.
I have lived in Belle Harbor and Rockaway almost all my life. The Beach is a free one. Parking in the higher numbers is difficult. Best to come by ferry or mass transit. Further down, there are food services, bathrooms and ba nice boardwalk.
