Honestly, the best one I’ve had so far. They were so nice to book us in last minute, literally 10pm the night before and arranged our transportation. Horses were very calm and great for first timers and non experienced riders. That’s Padi and he was so well behaved, I couldn’t believe.

Although buggies provided it was good to have a caddy who are most knowledgeable and would recommend having one. Very good course with some very interesting holes. Keep your eyes open! Lovely half way house.

The Gary Player Golf Course needs no introduction. This world-renowned course was designed by Gary Player, and is the home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, now part of the European Tour Race to Dubai. This picturesque 18 hole, par 72 walking course is surrounded by a 5km scenic running trail. Since its opening in 1979, the course has been acknowledged as South Africa's premier championship test of golf. The home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge since 1981, this immaculately groomed layout has received rave reviews from the world's top golfers, who agree that it is both demanding and fair. This course has been consistently rated as one of the best in South Africa, and compares with the best in the world. The first course in South Africa to be constructed to stringent USGA specifications, this layout is famed for its length (over 7000 metres from the championship tees), its dramatic backdrops of the Pilanesberg Mountains, and its spectacular indigenous vegetation that flanks the fairways. The first facility in South Africa to be built with multiple tees, the course can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels of skill, but even from the forward tees it remains a challenge. A distinguishing feature of the course is its greens complexes which allows for interesting pin positions on the clover-shaped putting surfaces protected by strategically placed bunkers.
This one has been on my bucketlist for years and I finally played it. Walking course, in great condition, both the fairways, the, for europeans difficult rough because of the kikiyu grass, and the greens. Not a very difficult course, and the fairways are wide, not too many trees, nor a great amount of water in play. But, designed by the man in black, a signature piece, that next to Fancourt, is now one of myfavourites. It slopes gently but not much, well positioned bunkers, not all in good shape...., drinking water on a lot of holes. A caddy is a must, it gives a better experience, it will save you a few shots, and you contribute to his well being. The rate to play this course is ridiculously low, only € 60 pp, including the halfway house. Caddy at 300 rand minimum, worth all of it, and more.
