The Mindfulness Project is a monastery project based in Khon Kaen, Thailand, offering yoga and meditation retreats. This is not your usual retreat. We are using a revolutionary system, where we combine Vipassana meditation in Buddhist tradition, yoga, teachers educated in Indian ashrams and Buddhist monasteries, natural building and permaculture to a system of personal growth and healthy living.
My Vipassana and Yoga Retreat experience with The Mindfulness Project Thailand was incredible! The most comfortable and approachable atmosphere for practicing and learning more about mindfulness and meditation in Thailand! The early morning yoga with Anja is a special treat that helped prepare me and my body to go deeper during the rest of the retreat. Christian and Anja and the monks are also very experienced and extremely supportive and understanding of where each person is at in their journey. Trustworthy guides. The MPT has a special connection with the temple and residents that allowed me to feel warmly welcomed. The Food was homemade Thai and consistently tasty. Peaceful temple grounds and setting with birds, architecture, plants and bells/chanting. Easy bus or flight from anywhere in Thailand. Go alone or invite your friends. A life marker. I'll be back :)

Fabulous championship course about 8km from the city. “Sports Day” pricing Mon - Wed. Full facilities. One cart per golfer at 600 baht. A very well cared for course with wide fairways and not too treacherous to get around for a relaxing day out. Best to call for booking first, there is an English language option. Great restaurant and bar area along with superb locker room. Be aware that there is a “walkers fee” for non golfers who wish to go onto the course with players. I believe this to be the finest golf course in the area and well worth the effort to get there. The drainage is superior to many courses so a wet day is not a disaster. Go on, you know you want to play this one.

The staffs were friendly and helpful albeit unable to converse in English fluently. The snake show was a short one, probably due to the low season and the COVID-19. You’ll get to touch and hold the snakes after the show for a small fee in the form of a tip. Worth checking out when you are in Khon Kaen. THB100 entry fee applies for foreigners. Unsure about the rates for locals though.

This course is a little out of KK , but worth the 60klm drive to play on a course that runs along a Large water storage dam. the course naturally used the water to its advantage with a lot of Water hazards , and also sand bunkers, to mark it a very interesting 18 holes of gold. a reasonably price for golf cart and caddy.
