The Ryde Barn Quilt Trail was created in 2014 to honour the 135 year history of the Township of Ryde. You can drive the whole trail in about an hour. There are some side detours to see additional quilts. The website details the histories of the properties. All the barn quilts are on private property and are meant to be viewed from the road. Please drive carefully. Geocaching also present.
The quilts are very simple. However, following the route allowed me to drive across different areas of Gravenhurst. The landscape is so beautiful. A couple of quilts have been removed.

We love taking our nature loving visitors to the area to the Tree Museum. The combination of large art installations and Muskoka beauty is something different and a lot of fun.

Great Job on the reno !!!! the removal of ALL the trees helps so very much. Love the white sand too. john in the golf shop was so helpful and all the staff so so very friendly ... the phrase HOW CAN I HELP YOU ??? from everybody !!!!!!! a great day of golf ... played 27holes in a great time !!!! geeez louise whats not to like ??? its a welcoming warm special place !!! maybe just turn down the music alittle bit please and thank you a great experience ... super conditioning of a resort course that gets lots of play from non golfers first timers who do not replace divots or fix ball marks ... who have no respect for the hard work your staff puts into the course everyday. a great time !!!!

This was a golf getaway we purchased with Underpar. The course is beautiful and very challenging with all the elevation. The fall colours made everything look even more spectacular. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa #16which was very modern decor. The beds were comfortable and a beautiful unit overall other than each bedroom being open the the main floor. Not sure why the walls are not closed in. No privacy as you can hear everything thru the unit. Nice touch having Adirondack chairs on the deck and the bedroom balcony. All the staff we dealt with were wonderful...can’t complain
