Calling itself "the southern part of Heaven," the town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina is home to the grassy malls and brick walkways of the University of North Carolina's historic campus. The presence of the country's first public university has allowed a vibrant arts and culture scene to grow in Chapel Hill. Check out a concert by a local band, watch the star's fly at the Morehead Planetarium or catch a varsity game pitting the wildly popular Tarheels against their historic Southern rivals.

This is the perfect mountain biking trail - enough variety of terrain to be interesting, a few options to make it more or less challenging, with sections for flow, rock gardens, whoopdees. And all in a very nice forest with occasional clearings and easy parking.

Cat Tales Cat Cafe is a cozy cage-free lounge where guests can get to know our 12 adoptable cats, while enjoying a tasty snack or drink. Our lounge is a low stress, free roaming environment that allows the cats' true personalities to shine! We welcome visitors both looking to adopt and those just looking to play with some kitties. All kitties are adoptable from Goathouse Refuge. We highly recommend making reservations in advance through our website.
My daughter and I stopped in to play with the cats while visiting in Chapel Hill. We purchased a beverage, went upstairs, and had a fun time playing with the cats. Some were into playing with us and some wanted to nap. The two girls at the desk were very helpful in explaining their rules and policies. We were not there to adopt a cat but if we were this is the perfect scenario. You get to see the cats playing and living in a comfortable environment, and see which cat you might connect with. The place is super clean and there are many places for the cats to lounge and nap. Also many toys were available to play with the kitties. Seating inside was comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend anyone looking to adopt a cat or anyone wanting to just hang out and play with cats visit and support this cafe.
