The Central Bohemian Region (Czech: Středočeský kraj) is an administrative unit (Czech: kraj) of the Czech Republic, located in the central part of its historical region of Bohemia. Its administrative center is placed in the Czech capital Prague (Czech: Praha), which lies in the center of the region. The city is not, however, a part of it and creates a region of its own.

One day canoe trip A unique one-day trip (5- 7 hours) near Prague down the river named Berounka with a family or a bunch of friends. We rent 2-seater or 3-seater canoes. The way is beautiful. River Berounka is quiet and it is even for the inexperienced boaters. Call us and we will arrange everything. You just need to get to the city named Srbsko. And it is far 20 minutes by train from Prague.

We are at home in the historical town Beroun located in the midst of Bohemian Karst, and Krivoklatsko - the UNESCO biosphere reserve, both just 30 minutes out of Prague. We want to show our visitors that Czechia is not just Prague, but there is so much else to see and experience! Come and enjoy the true nature without crowds.

I enjoyed my visit to this fascinating area and learning about its history. Even in a pandemic the group was mid-sized, so I would imagine VERY busy in a normal summer. The tour of the caves was well done with great humour, usually only in Czech but Tomas was kind and said some things in English too (including the jokes!) . . . and I was given a written summary in English, returnable at the end. Some bending involved for a tall person, average fitness needed.
