Brittany (/ˈbrɪtəni/; French: Bretagne [bʁətaɲ] ( listen); Breton: Breizh, pronounced [bʁɛjs] or [bʁɛχ]; Gallo: Bertaèyn, pronounced [bəʁtaɛɲ]) is a cultural region in the northwest of France, covering the western part of what was known as Armorica during the period of Roman occupation. It became an independent kingdom and then a duchy before being united with the Kingdom of France in 1532 as a province governed as if it were a separate nation under the crown.

Opened in 1907, Sentier des Douaniers is the ideal way to discover Ploumanac ' H and its impressive rock-sculpted cliffs of nature. Book half a day on foot to go on this circuit, considered one of the major natural sites of the region. At sundown, the pink granite seems to be on fire.

Come and discover the mysteries of the depths of the Brittany sea in our aquarium : conger eels, lobsters, rays and sharks, seahorses, etc. The Atlantic will surprise you! You can see over 150 species in 1,800m2, with giant tanks, a touch pool, a discovery zone, even a fish nursery, etc. Brittany's coast and ocean will keep none of their secrets from you. Wonder at our bird show. Within a beautiful park situated at the mouth of the Goyen river, birds are displayed flying freely, they may even skim over your head! This 45 minutes presentation is divided into four parts : birds local to the estuary, diurnal birds of prey, nocturnal birds of prey, and the Great Cormorant. (French spoken)
Good family trip ( 2 hours with a 3 year old) Mix of aquarium and birds. Bird show well worth seeing. Close up experience with some majestic birds. Well kept animals and exhibitions and friendly enthusiastic staff. Lots of features described in English as well as French although the bird show narrated in French wouldn’t affect overall understanding and experience if you weren’t fluent.

You can walk the whole perimeter of the "Intra-muros" Saint Malo town, without coming down off the ramparts. It's not to be missed if you're visiting this beautiful town.

This is a nature park with a difference. A mix of more traditional zoo enclosures which are large, well thought out for the animals and beautifully maintained, together with large spaces where the animals can roam free amongst the visitors. There is plenty to see. The aerial walkway was an added bonus. It looks terrifying, but once you’re up it’s amazing and kids of all ages absolutely loved it. No picnics in the park, but plenty of space outside provided and a variety of good eateries are available at a reasonable price.

We spent a late summer weekend and the beach is absolutely beautiful. Clean and no litter. At low tide there were a few swimmers and a very wide expanse of beach. The sunsets were spectacular.
