It is a wonderful place. The coast is in front of a big grassland. There are a lot of seagulls. The grass is green in summer. It should be the best time to go there.

Tohoku’s premier ski resort, Aomori Spring sits on the Northern slopes of Mt Iwaki. A gondola takes you up through pristine beech forest to a height of 921 metres with stunning views of the Tsugaru Plain and the Sea of Japan. With world-class dry powder snow conditions, wide groomed trails and a number of steep off-piste pitches, there is plenty of terrain to keep your whole family satisfied. After dark you can enjoy night skiing/riding under the moonlight on one of our floodlit trails. For freestyle skiers and snowboarders there’s Olympic-sized 22 foot halfpipe, the largest in Japan, and an extensive terrain park which is open both day and night. Backcountry skiers will fall in love with the almost endless supply of pristine powder snow that Aomori has to offer. Facilities: Ski-in, ski-out Rockwood Hotel & Spa, 1 x 6seater gondola, 2 x covered high-speed four-seater chairlifts, 2 x two-seater chairlifts, rental shop, ski and snowboard lessons and on-mountain restaurants, and more!

We took the Gono Line from Aomori to Akita in mid-Oct., this year. It was a 5-hour train ride. The train stop at Senjyojiki Beach for about 20 minutes. We took a lot of photos of the beautiful beach. In my opinion, it was the most amazing stop on the Gono Line. You must bring along with your camera to shoot as many photos as possible at this place. The other stops were not as beautiful.
