Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

Jardin des Plantes

In addition to serving as the site for the city's huge Museum of Natural History, this park is also home to a small zoo.

It being winter, not at its most lush, but to make up for it they had illuminated sculptures, (similar to the ones in Hoi An, Vietnam). Wow - a lovely walk in the sun via the turtles, hermit crabs, coral reefs, plenty of seating, to enjoy the park and have lunch. We popped out on the far side of the Jardin and came across one of the Wallace fountains I mentioned in passing - in fact the only one remaining of the mural model, (see review).

Freescoot

Paris scooter and bicycle rentals shop. Our shop is located in a neighborhood that is both trendy and picturesque, ideally situated on the quai de Seine across from Notre-Dame cathedral. It’s a magical spot and a perfect departure point for excursions around Paris. Our friendly staff will help you choose the right bike from high quality equipment that is not readily found in other rental shops. Stephane speaks English and welcomes foreign visitors every day. We are always attentive to our clients’ requests and concerned about their comfort and safety.

Freescoot is such a special place. I have rented Vespas elsewhere but I couldn't really recommend them and they just don't give you the kind of personal attention you get from the owner, Stéphane. You can tell it's more than just a business for him. He really cares about his bikes, your experience and your safety. His Vespas are beautifully maintained. I also love to bicycle in Paris. I have used Vél Lib and although their multiple locations are convenient, it isn’t always easy to find a working bike or a spot to return it. They are OK but to really see the city or cruise around comfortably, they are heavy bikes and can in no way compare with the bicyles that Stéphane rents. Riding a scooter or a bicycle around Paris is an amazing way to visit the city and Freescoot is a really great place to start.
