Once known as The Land of the Mountains, the 10,000-square-mile province of Tirol is a wonderland of gushing rivers, lush meadows and rugged peaks. Fantastic hiking trails wind along paths through the Zillertal Alps. Famed resort towns confetti the mountainsides, including Kitzbühel, St. Anton, Ischgl and Seefeld, site of some events in the 1964 and 1976 Winter Games. Compact capital Innsbruck is a medieval gem. The Tirolean identity is strong: Expect to see lederhosen and feathered hats.

On the snow-reliable and sun-blessed high valley of Seefeld I found perfect conditions to learn cross country skiing. Martin Tauber’s team from the Cross Country academy in Seefeld (special thanks to my personal instructor Niki) enabled me to master and enjoy skiing on the trails of the Winter World Masters Games 2020. Well-organised, super-friendly and very professional. Don’t struggle on your own - treat yourself with a few private lessons - it’s so much more fun and soon you will elegantly float past others. Just bring yourself and joy of being active!

We hiked down to the lake from Landsberger Hutte. Its a nice sized lake with 2 or 3 wonderful restaurants to eat. You can rent boats, circle the lake, hike and also take a bus or choo choo train back to your car in Tannheim. Absolutely recommend this for a day trip!

Very nice, long and fun rodelbahn!!! We lost an iphone in the restaurant up in the mountain and they found it and returned it at the ticket office downstairs. Great service!!!

It is a very good ski area for families as well as for lonely skiers. The pistes are very well maintained, the restaurants are new and the people are friendly.

Just love, love, love Kaunertal. The event of driving up to the glacier is capped off by some of the best free ride conditions in the world. Just love Kaunertal, the quiet nature of the resort as well as the new Gondel ???? that makes so much more of the area accessible. Will be back again - for the 22nd consecutive year next year!
